Street fashion takes center stage at Spring 2026 Fashion Week — from skirts over pants in Paris to woven pieces in Milan and genie pants in New York.

Fashion Week is officially behind us but the fashion trends? They are only getting started.

From the elegant staples of Paris to the bold cuts seen in Milan, here are 8 Street Fashion Trends that will define what style truly means in the coming year.

The Paris Fashion Week was defined by bold and creative layering of skirts over pants. From sheer skirts to midi and even printed skirts, this look was seen on majority of the attendees including celebrities like Kendall Jenner.

With designers like Alaïa and Loewe at the forefront of this trend, this fashion style gives individuals the freedom to experiment what works for them and with the looks of things might become a trend next year.

Another fashion style that would most likely become a trend is Capri pants. They had a loud comeback during the Paris Fashion Week and may get more attention soon especially slimmer fits and the slightly baggy version of the pants.

One reason why the Capri Pants is creating so much buzz is because of how well it is reintroducing the 1900/2000s vibe and with Bella Hadid arriving the PFW in them, this is one trend to look out for.

Sport wear is no longer just about the gym, in the fashion industry today, as far as it balances comfort and flair, it’s a sport wear and can be styled for diverse occasions and outings.

Sporty touch outfits will have an edge because of its many benefits including comfort, versatility, and ability to tweak and balance it. Celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Maria Olympia are embracing it already while designers like Lacoste and Kenzo are actively pioneering the trend.

Milan

At the Milan Fashion Week, one of the fashion styles that were spotted all over the scene was garments tied around the waist, shoulders or draped on the neck, from sweaters to jackets and even matching fabrics from outfits.

Brands like Versace, The Attico and Anteprimo went all out with style of layering. This style made outfits like more polished and this trend might take over the coming season.

Another fashion trend  which was followed by a lot of Italian fashion houses was casually revealing undergarmentsd due to the approach of styling. Jil Sander had perfect oval cuts on dresses revealing matching undergarments.

While this trend might not be popular, it is something to look out for.

Woven Pieces

Designer Louise Trotter delivered the signature interecciato technique of Bottega Veneta but apparently, this is style is going to be a trend. Other brands like Tokyo James, Tod’s and Fendi also designed similar staples.

From woven leather to knitted fabrics, these styles and pieces may become a trend in the coming year.

New York

This is a relatively new fashion trend but fashion is really about experimenting and a lot of brands have hopped on this including Altuzarra, Michael Kors, Ashlyn and Patbo.

This trend was probably influenced by Pieter Mulier based on some pieces he designed for Alaia’s Spring Collection. Who knows? Parachute pants might become a thing soon!

Lacy Legs

Lace has and remains a popular fabric among fashionistas and New York designers. And now, designers are creating a wave of lacy pants especially tights and Capri pants. We don’t know exactly where this style might lead but it’s out-of-the-box, fresh and might begin an evolution on how pants are designed and created.

From old comebacks to fresh ideas, the Fashion Week across Paris, Milan and New York has given us a handful of fashion styles that may become trends in the near future. Keep your fingers crushed, mind open and creative spirit alive because the next fashion evolution is knocking!

Hailey Bieber’s love for denim has led to a collaboration with Gap, introducing a limited-edition collection inspired by her personal style and ’90s fashion. The collection, called “The Hailey Jean,”will launch on July 16 and it features two denim silhouettes: the Extra Baggy Jean and the Low Rise Loose Jean.

The collection was inspired by the vintage Gap jeans Bieber has often been seen wearing, as well as her love for the simplicity of ’90s dressing. Each style comes in three different washes. It also includes personalized details like a “1996” branding on the hardware and back patches, referencing her birth year, as well as her signature printed inside the pocket lining.

During an official press release, Bieber explained the collaboration came naturally because Gap has always been part of her wardrobe. “Gap has been a part of my wardrobe since I was a kid, so this came together very organically,” she said. She also explained that the collection was influenced by the way people dressed in the ’90s, adding, “There was something so effortless about that era and the way people wore denim. We wanted the campaign and the collection to capture that same feeling in a way that felt modern, nostalgic and personal.”

The model and entrepreneur worked with Gap on the design process, focusing on the fit, proportions, and washes of each pair. The collection features two jean styles available in six washes made from 100% cotton rigid denim, with the jeans retailing for $89.

The campaign, photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Alastair McKimm, pays tribute to Gap’s ’90s advertising era. Bieber appears in the campaign wearing the new denim styles paired with classic Gap T-shirts. Directed by Charlie Di Placido, she was seen in a recreated ’90s bedroom setting with The Cranberries’ song “Linger” as the soundtrack.

Bieber also shared that fit and wash are the most important things she looks for when choosing jeans. When asked how she plans to style The Hailey Jean, she revealed that she has been pairing them with a long-sleeved oversized white shirt and a small heeled sandal for summer. For the colder months, she said she would style them with a flat shoe or loafer.

Rabanne has appointed Olivier Rousteing as its new Creative Director, bringing one of fashion’s most influential designers to the French house as it enters its next creative chapter. Rousteing succeeds Julien Dossena, whose 13-year tenure helped redefine Rabanne for a contemporary audience while preserving the house’s signature spirit of innovation.

The appointment marks Rousteing’s return to a leading creative role after concluding a transformative 14-year run at Balmain, where he became one of the industry’s most recognisable designers. Appointed Creative Director at just 25, he reshaped the Parisian label through his bold creative vision, celebrity relationships and influential digital presence, turning Balmain into a global luxury brand.

Announcing the news, Rousteing described joining Rabanne as “a tremendous honour,” paying tribute to founder Paco Rabanne’s pioneering vision and acknowledging the creative foundation established by Dossena. He said he looks forward to building on the house’s rich heritage while contributing his own perspective to its future.

Founded in 1966 by Paco Rabanne, the maison earned international acclaim for challenging traditional fashion conventions through the use of unconventional materials including metal, plastic and chainmail. Over the decades, the brand has remained synonymous with experimentation, craftsmanship and a forward-looking design philosophy that continues to influence contemporary fashion.

Rousteing’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Rabanne. Under parent company Puig, the brand has become one of the group’s strongest global businesses, supported by blockbuster fragrance franchises including 1 Million, Invictus and Fame. The fashion house now enters its next phase with a renewed focus on strengthening the connection between its fashion identity and wider beauty business.

The heat wave in Paris might have been overwhelming, but it didn’t stop guests from bringing their best. Fashion on the streets mirrored what was happening on the runways, with guests wearing similar textures, shapes and details.

Haute Couture Week, which takes place twice a year, remains one of the most exclusive events in fashion, with only designers approved by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) invited to present their collections. This season’s schedule included brands like Schiaparelli, Chanel, Dior, Viktor & Rolf, Iris Van Herpen, and Robert Wun, alongside newer additions like Standing Ground and Manish Malhotra. While some houses like Maison Margiela were absent, the week still delivered powerful presentations.

Throughout the week, designers unveiled collections filled with hand-stitched elements and bold textures. Gigi Hadid also made an impression on the runway in a black feather cocoon look, which offered a sense of ease in the middle of the heat.

But what happened outside the shows was just as interesting. Despite the hot temperatures, guests stepped out in variety of looks. From A-list names like Cynthia Erivo to Teyana Taylor, the streets of Paris turned into a second runway.
