2026 BET Awards: The Complete List of Winners
The 2026 BET Awards returned to celebrate Black excellence across music, film, television, and culture. Among the night’s standout moments was Teyana Taylor receiving the Icon Award from Janet Jackson, a major figure she has long admired in the entertainment industry.
She was also among the night’s biggest winners, taking home the Best Actress award, Video Director of the Year, and the Fashion Vanguard Award, a newly introduced category. The wins add to what has been a major year for her, following a Golden Globe win, as well as Oscar and Grammy nominations.

The Best Looks From the 2026 BET Awards
The 2026 BET Awards brought together a mix of A-list names from across music, film, and entertainment to celebrate Black culture at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with Druski hosting the night. The event featured several standout moments on stage, including Teyana Taylor receiving the Icon of the Year Award from Janet Jackson, as well as other major honorary recognitions like Sylvia Rhone receiving the Ultimate Icon Award and Lauryn Hill being honored with the Living Legend Icon Award.
But before all the big wins of the night fully unfolded, one of the major things to look out for was the red carpet. Sheer, corseted and revealing fashion trends were seen on multiple celebrities, each styled in distinct ways.

Doechii in DSQUARED2
Doechii appeared in a dark brown crochet maxi dress, styled in a backless knit design. Keke Palmer followed in a black Gucci gown featuring a one-shoulder neckline, a thigh-high slit, a dramatic open-back design, and silver crystal embellishments. Latto also partook in the trend in a black sheer corset gown. Chloe Bailey added a different angle to it, stepping out in a strapless Valdrin Sahiti gown with a blonde hairstyle that carried a soft Marilyn Monroe-inspired feel.

Teyana Taylor in Stéphane Rolland
Other celebrities decided to walk the red carpet in red and burgundy tones. Teyana Taylor wore a Stephanie Rolland gown with a structured bodice, voluminous hip detailing, and a beaded finish across the bust, completed with a matching hat. Kehlani appeared in a red fitted CHATS by C.DAM gown with gathered detailing at the shoulder and waist. The host of the night Druski, also stepped out in a burgundy Louis Vuitton double-breasted suit styled with a white shirt underneath and matching tie.

Janet Jackson
Some looks also carried tribute elements. Janet Jackson wore a Tupac graphic shirt layered over a white turtleneck and paired with straight-leg trousers. She completed the look with a structured belt and a veiled hat.

Queen Latifah, who is part of the newly created BET board of advisors, wore a dark monochrome look with voluminous sleeves. Keep scrolling to see more of the best looks from the 2026 BET Awards.
