Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams Named Co-Chairs of 2026 Met Gala
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour will co-chair the 2026 Met Gala, scheduled for Monday, bringing together some of the major voices across entertainment, fashion, and sports.
This spring’s gala will celebrate the Costume Institute’s exhibition “Costume Art,” curated by Andrew Bolton. The exhibition explores the interplay between clothing and the body, tracing thematic “body types” from the Naked body to the Pregnant body and the Aging body. It will be the first show in the Met’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries, a nearly 12,000-square-foot space adjacent to the Great Hall, running from May 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027.

It’s been a decade since Beyoncé last attended the Met Gala, when she attended the 2016 Manus x Machina gala. Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams both have established a presence at the event, with Kidman having co-chaired in 2003 and 2005, and Williams making her first appearance as co-chair seven years after her sister Serena Williams held the role, Beyoncé, previously served as an honorary chair in 2013.

Each year, the Met Gala functions as a major fundraiser for the Costume Institute, supporting exhibitions, acquisitions, publications, and other museum operations. The 2025 Gala raised $31 million, cementing the event as a leading fundraising event in fashion culture.
Beyoncé, Kidman, and Williams’ combined influence signals an evening shaped by glamour, art, and celebrity culture, perfectly aligned with the Costume Institute’s innovative vision for “Costume Art.”

Our Favourite Street Style Photos from Copenhagen Fashion Week 2026
Copenhagen has long been known for its street style, during fashion week guests put more thought into their outfits stepping out in laid back or bold layered outfits despite the snow.
Copenhagen Fashion Week 2026 has begun and showed clear seasonal trends, the most photographed outfits came from guests moving between shows. The focus stayed on practical layers, relaxed tailoring, and pieces that can be worn beyond a single event.
Dramatic sleeves, shirts, skirts, and coordinated sets all appeared on the streets. Most were styled with loose cuts and simple shapes, keeping the patterns easy to wear. Matching two-piece sets and oversized button-downs were common, often paired with straight trousers or skirts.

The Nike x SKIMS Ballet Sneaker Has Arrived, Inspired by Tabi
The Nike x SKIMS Ballet Sneaker, known as the NikeSKIMS Rift Mesh, has launched. Nike and Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand have teamed up for their first sneaker collaboration. It was launched on January 26, 2026, it’s an updated version of Nike’s Air Rift from the ’90s, combining ballet-inspired styling with the shoe’s distinctive split-toe feature.

Photo: Instagram
The original Nike Air Rift, released in 1996, drew inspiration from the barefoot running techniques of athletes in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, and tabi toe (split toe) that allows natural foot movement – That split-toe feature echoes the famous Maison Margiela Tabi shoes (inspired by traditional Japanese tabi socks).
Key features include:

- Tabi toe for split-toe look and natural foot movement.
- Breathable mesh upper (in the initial release) for a close fit.
- Single midfoot strap for easy entry and a secure fit.
- Minimalist midsole that keeps you close to the ground, reflecting to the original Rift’s barefoot design concept.
- Textured logo outsole for subtle grip.
The sneaker is suitable for active wear. Kim Kardashian herself said:
“There’s something so powerful and beautiful about a ballet flat, which is why reimagining the Nike Rift for the first NikeSKIMS sneaker felt perfect. The Rift isn’t just a shoe, it’s a 90s icon that women everywhere have fallen in love with.”
The debut Rift Mesh (in colors like black) released at $150 and sold out quickly at select retailers. Follow-up drops, like the Rift Satin (with satin uppers in black and silt red), are slated for February 5, 2026, as part of SKIMS’ Spring ’26 collection inspired by modern ballerinas (featuring campaigns with BLACKPINK’s LISA). This extends into apparel, accessories, and now footwear.
