Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Moving Back to the UK

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to the United Kingdom with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, six years after leaving royal duties and establishing their family life in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to relocate to Britain this month for an extended period, with Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, set to begin school in the UK in September. The family will establish a private home in Britain rather than return to a royal residence, while continuing to maintain their home in Montecito, California, and their vacation property in Portugal.

The location of their new British home and the children’s school has not been disclosed. Those details are being closely guarded for privacy and security reasons.

The move gives Harry and Meghan a home base in Britain for the first time since they gave up the lease on Frogmore Cottage, the Windsor residence that Queen Elizabeth II had given them. King Charles later asked them to leave the property following the publication of Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare.

Despite the relocation, there is no return to official royal duties. The couple will continue as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family, in line with the arrangement established when they stepped back from royal responsibilities in 2020. Their move therefore does not represent a return to life as working royals.

King Charles was informed of the couple’s plans on August 16, and he welcomes the opportunity to spend more private and personal time with Harry, Meghan and their children. The development comes only weeks after the family made a joint trip to the UK, their first together since 2020. During that visit, Archie and Lilibet reunited with their grandfather for the first time in more than four years.

The family’s summer visit also included time at Althorp House, the Northamptonshire estate where Princess Diana spent much of her childhood and where she is buried. Harry, Meghan and their children visited the estate and spent time with members of the wider Spencer family.

The return also creates more room for Harry to continue his work with organisations and causes in Britain. From a UK base, he will be able to spend more time supporting charities including Scotty’s Little Soldiers and WellChild, as well as the Invictus community. He is already expected to return to Britain in September for WellChild engagements and events connected to the Invictus Games.

Meghan, meanwhile, will continue running her lifestyle company, As Ever, from the couple’s international bases while pursuing future projects. The Sussexes have maintained that they are financially independent, supporting themselves without taxpayer funding.

Security has remained one of the biggest complications surrounding Harry’s relationship with Britain. After he and Meghan stepped away from royal duties, they lost their taxpayer-funded police protection, leading Harry into a lengthy legal battle over his security arrangements. His decision to establish a permanent family base in the UK marks a significant change against that background, although a spokesperson for the couple declined to comment on the security situation surrounding the move.

The Sussexes left Britain in 2020 following an increasingly strained relationship with the royal family. Their subsequent years in the United States included major media projects, Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary series, their interview with Oprah Winfrey and Harry’s memoir, Spare, all of which brought further attention to their disagreements with the institution and members of the royal family.

Their relationship with King Charles has shown signs of improvement in recent months. The family’s summer reunion was particularly significant because it marked the first time Charles had seen Archie and Lilibet in more than four years. Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, however, remains strained.

After six years based in California, Harry and Meghan are preparing to make Britain part of their family life again, this time with Archie and Lilibet beginning school there.

Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper have begun filming the untitled Ocean’s Eleven prequel in Paris, giving the first real look at the actors in the long-awaited addition to the heist franchise.

Set photos from August 18 showed Cooper and Monica Barbaro on set, while Robbie was also photographed in costume. The film, which has been in development since 2022, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on June 25, 2027.

Cooper is taking on multiple roles behind and in front of the camera. He is writing, directing and starring in the film as Danny Ocean’s father, and was photographed behind the cameras. He joined the project after filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung stepped down earlier this year. Cooper was photographed on set wearing a headset, while Barbaro was seen having her hair adjusted by a member of the production crew and wearing a blue-and-white costume.

Robbie and Cooper are set to play Danny Ocean’s parents in the prequel. The story is set in the 1960s and follows Danny’s parents as they plan an elaborate heist at the Monaco Grand Prix. Robbie previously described the characters at CinemaCon as two masterminds who taught Danny everything he knows before he ever arrived in Las Vegas.

The project has been developing for several years. The film was first reported in 2022, when Robbie was attached to star and develop an original Ocean’s film set in the 1960s. Ryan Gosling was previously attached to the project before Cooper took over his role.

The current cast extends well beyond its two leads. Monica Barbaro joined the film in June, followed by Josh Gad in July. Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Lauren Ridloff, Jack Holden and Omar Sy have also joined the cast, along with Wagner Moura. Moura will play a villain in the film.

Robbie is also producing the movie with her husband, Tom Ackerley, through their production company LuckyChap Entertainment. Behind the scenes, Michelle Graham, Gary Ross, Olivia Milch and Josey McNamara are executive producing, alongside Village Roadshow. The screenplay is written by Carrie Solomon, whose previous writing credits include the Netflix film A Family Affair, starring Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron.

The prequel is also being developed alongside a separate Ocean’s sequel involving George Clooney and members of the original cast, with production previously reported to be planned for late 2026.

Hayden Panettiere Dies at 36: What to Know About the ‘Scream 4’ Actress

Published

on

By

Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36. The news was confirmed by her father, who released a statement announcing her death.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and to the millions who watched her onscreen. We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss” he said.

According to police in Greenville, South Carolina, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance, but Panettiere was later pronounced dead. While the actress’s cause of death has not been formally released by her family, authorities have described it as a “possible overdose.”

Born on August 19, 1989, Panettiere spent most of her life in front of the camera, she entered the entertainment industry as a baby. She began modeling at just eight months old and appeared in her first commercial, a Playskool toy train advertisement, at 11 months.

By the age of four, she had landed a major acting role as Sarah Roberts on the soap opera One Life to Live. She also appeared in several television commercials, including her role as Lizzie Spaulding in Guiding Light.

Her career continued growing as she moved into both film and voice acting. She voiced Dot in the Disney-Pixar animated film A Bug’s Life and later appeared in Remember the Titans at the age of 10, playing the daughter of the character portrayed by Denzel Washington.

Her performances earned her early recognition, winning a Young Artist Award for her role in Remember the Titans, while her work in A Bug’s Life also earned her a Grammy nomination.

Although, Panettiere later revealed that growing up in the spotlight came at a cost. In her autobiography, This Is Me, which was published earlier this year, she said “From a very young age, I lost the chance to have a normal childhood, friends, relationships, and my privacy,” she wrote.

Over the next three decades, Panettiere built an impressive career in television and film. She appeared in popular television shows such as Ally McBeal and Malcolm in the Middle, while also starring in films including Tiger Cruise, Ice Princess, and Bring It On: All or Nothing. One of her breakthroughs came in 2006 when she landed one of the lead roles in NBC’s Heroes. She played Claire Bennet, a high school cheerleader with the ability to heal herself.

Following the finale of Heroes in 2010, she starred in Scream 4 in 2011 and later returned to reprise the role in Scream VI. From 2012 to 2018, she starred alongside Connie Britton in all six seasons of the musical drama series Nashville. Her final film role was reportedly in Sleepwalker.

Outside of television and film, Panettiere also worked in the gaming industry. She voiced Kairi in the 2002 video game Kingdom Hearts, a collaboration between Disney and Japanese video game developer Square Enix.

In December 2014, the actress became a mother after welcoming her daughter, Kaya, with her then-fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko. The former couple raised their daughter together during her early years, but in 2018, Panettiere transferred custody to her former partner.

During an appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast, she addressed claims that she “gave away” her daughter. At the time, she was seeking treatment for alcoholism, substance abuse, and postpartum depression.

In 2022, she spoke openly to People about her struggles with opioid addiction and alcohol. “I was on top of the world and I ruined it,” she said. She also described battling addiction, depression, and postpartum depression, explaining that she believed she had reached rock bottom before realizing there were still more challenges ahead. Despite the difficulties she faced, she said she did not regret her journey.

“I put a lot of work into myself, and I have to be willing to be incredibly honest. There were a lot of ups and downs, but I don’t regret even the ugliest things that have happened to me,” she said.

Panettiere is survived by her parents and her daughter, Kaya.
