Our Favorite Looks from Ferragamo’s SS26 Show
Ferragamo’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection drew inspiration from the Roaring Twenties and the Africana movement.
With Maximilian Davis as the creative director, we witnessed creativity, modern designs and craftsmanship at its finest. From this season, here are seven standout staples that caught our attention

Ferragamo SS26 Show, 2025 – WWD
For the very first look, we have a gold satin button-up shirt with long sleeves and matching wide-leg trousers. A gold satin sash tied around the waist for a monochrome effect and brown leather shoulder bag to go.
This look was bold, creative and definitely had to have a spot on our list.

The second outfit featured an oversized beige blazer with a V-neck with a very short skirt that complements the outfit. The long dark scarf adds a bold twist to the look.
For accessories, she has a statement orange bag, a chunky gold necklace and black and white designer shoes.

Up next, we have an outfit inspired by the fashion style in the 1920’s, a halter neck free-flowing dress with feather details and scarf that add a touch of luxury to the look.
Her shoes are the same cream colour of the dress which adds a monochrome vibe to the overall look.

For the next dress, we also have a monochromatic look playing here. A bright yellow sleeveless top with a round neckline paired with a matching mini skirt which had lace detailing.
The yellow panels and shoes tied the look together. It was simple but stylish and sophisticated.

One of the highlights reimagined 1920s glamour with a clean, contemporary edge.
This outfit has a fitted double-breasted blazer with a low neckline and matching knee-length straight skirt with very unique open-toe shoes. It bridged past and present easily, making it one of the strongest statements of the show.

The dress was an oversized kaftan styled dress with deep V-neckline and very unique patchings, fringes and a beautiful fusion of black, grey and gold.
The black scarf and shoes kept it simple and tied the look together beautifully.

And for the last dress, this one stood out for its simplicity. This look featured a light brown midi gown with button details and a subtle slit on one side.
The black leather bag added sharpness and bright red pointed-toe shoes added a pop of colour to the whole look.

2026 Met Gala Dress Code Announced: Fashion Is Art
The Met Gala has confirmed its theme for 2026: “Fashion Is Art.” The announcement was made by Vogue on February 23 for the 2026 event.
The dress code accompanies the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Costume Art,” which explores the connections between clothing and visual art.
The gala will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It will be co‑chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.

Met Gala 2026 theme: Fashion isArt
The theme encourages guests to interpret clothing as a form of artistic expression. Rather than specifying a particular style or color palette, the dress code invites guests to show cultural and historical influences. Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Costume Institute, notes that fashion and the human form have long been central to visual culture, which the exhibition seeks to illustrate.
The “Costume Art” exhibition opens to the public on May 10, 2026, in the Costume Institute’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries. It will feature nearly 400 garments displayed alongside artworks from different periods, show the connection between clothing and visual art over time. The show highlights a variety of body types and forms, examining how fashion interacts with art from classical to contemporary contexts.
