On Monday, February 23, at 6:41 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a Hollywood Hills home after a friend requested a welfare check, after not hearing from her for over 24 hours, LAPD sources told the Investigative unit of NBC4 Los Angeles. Officers found a note on the door and discovered Short inside the home; she died by suicide, authorities said.
She had lived in the Hollywood Hills neighbourhood for around six years, one of her neighbours told the Daily Mail, “Katherine mostly kept to herself. She had been struggling with a physical illness. She must have been in so much anguish to have done this. It’s just so sad.”

Katherine was a licensed clinical social worker who worked part-time at the Amae Health, a mental health provider offering community outreach, family support groups, peer support and psychotherapy. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender and Sexuality Studies from New York University in 2006 and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California in 2010.
Katherine was adopted by Martin Short and his late wife of 30 years, Nancy Dolman, who died from ovarian cancer in 2010. The couple also adopted two other children, Oliver Patrick, 39, and Henry Hayter, 36.

‘Mr and Mrs’: Dua Lipa Shares Pictures from Wedding to Callum Turner
Dua Lipa finally shared photos from her wedding celebration in Sicily with Callum Turner. The singer posted a carousel on Instagram showing moments from their weekend festivities, with the simple caption “Mr and Mrs.”
The photos captured intimate moments between the couple. Dua Lipa is seen wearing a Chanel haute couture gown designed by Matthieu Blazy, making her the first bride to wear a wedding dress created by him. It was detailed with feathers and crystal embellishments, finished with an open back design. The dress had delicate strips of fabric running across her neck and lower back, with beaded crystal embellishments, and a long flowing train.

The gown was handcrafted in Chanel’s ateliers at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris. In contrast, Callum Turner is seen beside her in a Louis Vuitton suit, as the two are captured in a series of romantic shots.
The Sicily celebration followed their London civil ceremony, which took place on May 31. In the images, she is seen in a tailored bridal look that included a structured suit-inspired top and skirt from Schiaparelli.

An insider told People that the couple’s wedding was planned as a mix of intimate and larger celebrations, allowing them to enjoy both a private moment together and a more lavish gathering with family and friends. The insider added that the entire celebration was exactly what they envisioned, “It was intimate and meaningful, and they were surrounded by loved ones. They had a small celebration after the ceremony and are so excited for what’s still to come.”

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner were first linked in 2024 and confirmed their engagement in June 2025, with Lipa describing it as a “decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever. Anne Hathaway Reveals She Is Pregnant With Her Third Child
The Oscar-winning actress shared the news on Instagram on June 19, following recent sightings of her baby bump while vacationing in Saint-Tropez. Anne Hathaway is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman. The actor confirmed the pregnancy on Instagram on Friday, June 19, through a short video set to “Baby I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis. In the clip, she walks into frame wearing a flowing white linen two-piece from Nothing Fits But, its smocked waistline sitting against a visibly pregnant belly . She cradles her bump, smiles at the camera, and then playfully steps out of frame. The caption reads, “x Baby, I’m yours x.”

The announcement followed weeks of speculation after Hathaway was photographed on vacation in Saint-Tropez, her stomach visible beneath a series of breezy maxi dresses and cover-ups. She was also photographed in a bikini and later in one of her signature wetsuits, with her growing baby bump clearly visible.
Hathaway and Shulman, who married in 2012, already share two sons: Jonathan and Jack, both of whom the couple have raised largely away from public attention.
This is not the first time Hathaway has used an Instagram announcement to speak honestly about the road to pregnancy. In 2019, confirming her second, she wrote: “It’s not for a movie… #2,” before adding: “All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”

The announcement comes as Hathaway continues an active period in her career, with several notable roles lined up. She recently reprised her role as Andy Sachs in the long-awaited sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada,” and starred in A24’s “Mother Mary,” a musical psychodrama in which she plays a pop star unraveling at the height of her fame.
Looking ahead, Hathaway will star as Penelope in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” as well as in the dystopian thriller The End of Oak Street and the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Verity.

Malia and Sasha Obama Make Rare Public Appearance to Support Parents
Malia and Sasha Obama attended the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center alongside their parents, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama in Chicago on June 18. The Obama family came together for the public event on Chicago’s South Side.
For the occasion, Malia wore an oversized gray blazer with a plunging neckline and a matching miniskirt. The blazer featured two large buttons at the front, with one fastened, and slight elastic detailing at the side that shaped the waist. The design also had a structured lapel across the front of the jacket. She completed the look with square-toe pumps.

Michelle Obama joined her husband, who delivered remarks during the ceremony, wore a navy-and-white tweed jacket with a matching skirt. Underneath the jacket, she layered a white corset, which was a departure from some of her more traditional public appearance as First Lady.
Malia and Sasha Obama were 10 and 7 years old respectively when their father was elected President of the United States in 2008. They were 18 and 15 when he left office in January 2017.
During Barack Obama’s presidency, Michelle Obama previously explained the pressure the family faced during that period. She explained that she wanted to give her daughters enough space to grow up and experience a normal teenage life.
“We’d have to build a real community of trust around them because I didn’t want them sitting home on Saturday night not understanding what it was like to be out and have a life before they went to college.” She also revealed that she never wanted to run for office because she did not want to place them back into the public spotlight.

Since leaving the White House, the Obama sisters have made occasional public appearances. The most recent one was during Mother’s Day last month, where they appeared together with their mother to honour her. They were also seen together as a family at the NBA All-Star Game in February in California.

The opening ceremony also featured performances by Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Eddie Vedder. Other attendees included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Gayle King.
