Diane Keaton, Actor and Style Icon, Dies at 79

Diane Keaton, the Oscar-winning actress known for her roles in movies like “Annie Hall”, “The Godfather”, and “Something’s Gotta Give”, has died at the age of 79. Her death was first reported by People . Stating she died on Saturday October 11, in California. “There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness,” a spokesperson said. 

Diane was born Diane Hall on January 5, 1946, in Los Angeles. She later took her mother’s maiden name, Keaton, as her stage name. After early work in theatre and television, she became popular in the 1970s, with movies such as “The Godfather” (1972) and “Annie Hall (1977), a role that won her the Academy Award for Best Actress.

She was also into comedy and in 1978, Keaton was described as one of the most “comedic, pure, and brainy” actresses of that time by The New Yorker . During that period, Time Magazine called her “the funniest woman now working in films”. Starring in comedies like Nancy Meyers’s “Something’s Gotta Give”(2003), “Because I Said So” (2007) and “Morning Glory “(2010).

Keaton also worked as a director and filmmaker. She directed films such as “Heaven” in 1987 and “Hanging Up” in 2000. Aside from acting and directing, she was also into writing and wrote four books, including her memoir Then Again (2011).

Another aspect she was really known for was her fashion sense. She loved bowler hats, bowties, brogues, and pearls. Her outfits were often mixed with masculine and feminine pieces: from waistcoats and oversized jackets to peplums and floppy hats. Costume designer Ruth Morley once said that “Annie Hall was pure Diane Keaton,” a reflection of the actress’s own wardrobe. Ralph Lauren told Vogue in 1978 that Annie’s style was Diane’s style “very eclectic.”

Many celebrities have expressed their grief over the actress death. Sarah Jessica Parker said  “Diane Keaton has been a point of inspiration for countless actresses. I include myself among those who loved and admired her,” she continued by saying “I was very privileged to witness her singular skill and talent on both First Wives Club and The Family Stone. I will cherish those memories on set as well her touching, delightful and perfectly own cinematic career. Which is a gorgeous legacy of an exquisite person, she will be terribly missed.” Jessica finished.

Diane Keaton left a mark on film, fashion, and the whole entertainment industry. She will be greatly remembered.

Elizabeth Olsen is Pregnant Expecting Child with Husband

Elizabeth Olsen is expecting her first child with her husband, musician Robbie Arnett.

The actress was photographed stepping out of All Time restaurant in Los Angeles in a relaxed daytime outfit. She wore a white button-down shirt worn open at the front, paired with loose-fitting trousers and flat shoes. She was also seen with her hand resting around her midsection while walking.

Olsen and Arnett, a musician and member of the band Milo Greene, have maintained a private relationship over the years. They were first linked in 2017, became engaged in 2019, and later married quietly before the COVID-19 pandemic, with the timeline later acknowledged in past interviews. The two have stayed relatively private about their relationship.

The news follows a recent sighting of Elizabeth and Robbie Arnett running errands together in Bel-Air. During the outing, the Eternity actress wore an oversized sweater.

No public statement has been released by either Olsen or Arnett regarding the pregnancy at this time.

David Beckham Gets a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

David Beckham received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 12, during a ceremony held in Los Angeles at Ovation Hollywood.

The former England captain was awarded the 2,849th star in recognition of his contribution to sports entertainment. He was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Victoria Beckham, and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
Victoria Beckham and actor Tom Cruise  spoke at the ceremony, while radio personality Ellen K served as host.

Tom Cruise spoke about Beckham’s journey from East London to international recognition, while Victoria Beckham spoke about his career and personal qualities.

During his acceptance speech, Beckham thanked his parents, sisters, teammates, coaches and friends for their support throughout his career. He also thanked Victoria Beckham and their children.

He reflected on growing up in East London and said he never imagined receiving such recognition.

For the ceremony, Beckham wore a navy suit, white shirt and matching tie. Victoria Beckham attended in a long gray dress.
Guests in attendance included Eva Longoria, James Corden and former U.S. soccer player Landon Donovan. Brooklyn Beckham was absent from the ceremony.

The ceremony adds another milestone to Beckham’s career, which has included spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as appearances for the England national team. He remains involved in football through his ownership role at Inter Miami CF.
