Malia and Sasha Obama attended the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center alongside their parents, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama in Chicago on June 18. The Obama family came together for the public event on Chicago’s South Side.

For the occasion, Malia wore an oversized gray blazer with a plunging neckline and a matching miniskirt. The blazer featured two large buttons at the front, with one fastened, and slight elastic detailing at the side that shaped the waist. The design also had a structured lapel across the front of the jacket. She completed the look with square-toe pumps.

Michelle Obama joined her husband, who delivered remarks during the ceremony, wore a navy-and-white tweed jacket with a matching skirt. Underneath the jacket, she layered a white corset, which was a departure from some of her more traditional public appearance as First Lady.

Malia and Sasha Obama were 10 and 7 years old respectively when their father was elected President of the United States in 2008. They were 18 and 15 when he left office in January 2017.

During Barack Obama’s presidency, Michelle Obama previously explained the pressure the family faced during that period. She explained that she wanted to give her daughters enough space to grow up and experience a normal teenage life.

“We’d have to build a real community of trust around them because I didn’t want them sitting home on Saturday night not understanding what it was like to be out and have a life before they went to college.” She also revealed that she never wanted to run for office because she did not want to place them back into the public spotlight.

Since leaving the White House, the Obama sisters have made occasional public appearances. The most recent one was during Mother’s Day last month, where they appeared together with their mother to honour her. They were also seen together as a family at the NBA All-Star Game in February in California.

The opening ceremony also featured performances by Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Eddie Vedder. Other attendees included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Gayle King.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt Reach Co-Parenting Agreement

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have formalized a co-parenting agreement for their seven-month-old daughter, Scottie. The announcement comes two months after the couple’s separation in May and underscores their shared commitment to prioritizing their daughter’s well-being.

In a joint statement, Davidson and Hewitt said their priority remains their daughter’s well-being.

“We are cooperatively co-parenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us,” the statement read.

Scottie was born in December 2025. The couple named her after Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson. Their relationship became public in March 2025. While they worked through the early challenges of new parenthood, they ultimately decided to end their romantic relationship.

According to PEOPLE, the transition was not without its challenges. The publication previously reported that Hewitt found the adjustment to single motherhood particularly demanding as she balanced caring for her infant daughter with her professional responsibilities.

Davidson has spoken publicly about fatherhood changing his perspective, calling it one of the most rewarding experiences of his life and acknowledging Hewitt’s dedication as a mother.

The agreement reflects a message both Davidson and Hewitt have shared in recent months, that their separation will not affect their commitment to raising their daughter together. The arrangement is centered on maintaining continuity for Scottie, with both parents present and involved in her upbringing.

Davidson and Hewitt are moving forward separately, but their latest step reflects alignment on the one thing they continue to share. As they build distinct lives outside of the relationship, the foundation they are aiming to create for Scottie is one of consistency, with both parents remaining active in her life.

Ben Affleck Wins $1 Million on ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ for Charity

Ben Affleck has added another memorable television moment to his career this time not from a film set, but from the quiz show stage.

The actor joined forces with Jeopardy! champion Jamie Ding for a celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, where the pair successfully secured the show’s $1 million grand prize. The winnings will benefit Affleck’s nonprofit organisation, Eastern Congo Initiative, which focuses on supporting community-led development efforts in eastern Congo.

The victory came after a tense final round that tested the duo’s knowledge under pressure. Their million-dollar question asked which of the listed names had not been used for a turkey pardoned by a U.S. president. Faced with the difficult decision, Affleck and Ding used their remaining lifelines, including the “Ask the Host” option, turning to host Jimmy Kimmel for guidance.

Kimmel offered his best guess, and after weighing their options, Affleck and Ding decided to lock in the answer a choice that ultimately delivered the winning result.

For Affleck, the moment represented more than a game show achievement. The actor co-founded Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010 alongside Whitney Williams, creating an organisation dedicated to supporting locally driven solutions and increasing awareness around communities in eastern Congo.

The win also continued a connection between Affleck and the long-running quiz show. In the previous season, his close friend Matt Damon teamed up with Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings and also won the $1 million prize for charity.

With a celebrated Hollywood career spanning acting, writing and directing, Affleck’s latest appearance offered a different kind of spotlight  one centred on teamwork, knowledge and using entertainment to support a cause beyond the screen.
