Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid Bring Western Glamour to Vogue’s October Issue
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid graced Vogue’s October 2025 cover in an outdoor shoot. Featuring Western fashion, the shoot was done by photographer Lachlan Bailey at Diamond Cross Ranch in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, highlighting their shared love of horse riding. The editorial is all about friendship, and fashion.

For the cover page, they both wore Miu Miu outfits. Kendall wore a navy-and-gray long sleeve plaid flannel with brown suede detailing on the shoulders, while Gigi wore a patchwork mini dress that added a modern touch to the Western theme. From the rest of the editorial spread, they featured other brands like Louis Vuitton, Rodarte and Marc Jacobs.
Both looks showed how couture translate easily even outside glossy studios. The gowns, were designed with their dramatic silhouettes, stood out even without heavy accessories letting elegance speak for itself. The natural bond between Kendall and Gigi carried the story further.
The supermodels’ bond goes back years, having grown up in the same modeling circles and often walking the same runways.

In an interview conducted by Chloe Malle, American Vogue’s newly appointed head of editorial content, The best friends spoke about their bond “I think the base of our friendship is that we respect the same things that we see in each other when we go to work,” we’re not there to ask for special treatment. We always work hard.” Gigi said.
“We’re sisters more than we’re friends,” Jenner added. She stated further “I was your biggest fan,” and once we started to work together and do shows, I remember those early seasons — we would do the whole month together.”
Vogue leans into this history by showing them not just as models, but as best friends sharing laughs and glances in between takes.

Kendall posted on instagram captioning that she had “dreamt of this shoot since my childhood summers in Jackson Hole” — thanking Vogue and Anna Wintour for making that dream come true, and calling the moment even more special for having had Gigi by her side.
Western-inspired fashion has been appearing frequently on recent runways. From cowboy boots to embroidered prairie dresses, the aesthetic is coming back into mainstream style again. With Kendall and Gigi at the center of Vogue’s interpretation, the editorial feels less like a fantasy and more natural.
The October issue of Vogue makes one thing clear: Kendall and Gigi are more than models on a cover. They both grew up in front of the camera, yet still find ways to reestablish themselves and their friendship through fashion.

2026 Met Gala Dress Code Announced: Fashion Is Art
The Met Gala has confirmed its theme for 2026: “Fashion Is Art.” The announcement was made by Vogue on February 23 for the 2026 event.
The dress code accompanies the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Costume Art,” which explores the connections between clothing and visual art.
The gala will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It will be co‑chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.

Met Gala 2026 theme: Fashion isArt
The theme encourages guests to interpret clothing as a form of artistic expression. Rather than specifying a particular style or color palette, the dress code invites guests to show cultural and historical influences. Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Costume Institute, notes that fashion and the human form have long been central to visual culture, which the exhibition seeks to illustrate.
The “Costume Art” exhibition opens to the public on May 10, 2026, in the Costume Institute’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries. It will feature nearly 400 garments displayed alongside artworks from different periods, show the connection between clothing and visual art over time. The show highlights a variety of body types and forms, examining how fashion interacts with art from classical to contemporary contexts.
