Gigi Hadid Leads the Suede Trench Takeover at NYFW F/W 2026
New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 highlighted winter style on Manhattan’s sidewalks, with one key piece emerging: the suede trench coat. Street style photographers captured supermodel Gigi Hadid stepping out in a long mocha suede trench, belted at the waist and layered over frayed‑hem blue jeans, showing how runway trends translate to everyday wear.
Hadid accessorized with an oversized paisley jacquard scarf from her guest brand and a dark chocolate suede Liffner Pillow Hobo bag, showing the mix of neutral tones and textures. Her outfit demonstrated the season’s focus on tactile outerwear for warmth and style.

Beyond Hadid’s standout look, suede appeared across Manhattan streets in coats, boots, and accessories, emerging as a citywide winter trend. Earthy neutrals chocolate, camel, slate, and muted olive dominated, offering a simple colour for layering and statement pieces. Shearling trims, structured wool coats, and oversized scarves added dimension without sacrificing usability, showing that winter dressing can be stylish and functional.
Accessories stood out and shaped street style this season. Sculptural handbags, sharp boots, and elongated scarves were not afterthoughts but finishing touches that completed the outfits. This attention to detail highlights a key takeaway from NYFW Fall/Winter 2026: tactile fabrics, tonal dressing, and purposeful accessories that shape winter street style for the season.

As images from the week continue to circulate globally, the suede trench emerged as a standout item for the season, combining style with practical winter dressing. From the sidewalks of New York to global street style galleries, this trend is likely to shape winter street style beyond New York.

She wore a wide-brim pink hat that extended the silhouette of the look. Its scale contrasted with the fitted construction of the dress. The piece was adapted from Jacquemus’ Fall/Winter 2926 collection. She wore rings from Tiffany & Co. Footwear came from Giuseppe Zanotti. The outfit was styled by Ryan Hastings.

Earlier in the week, she appeared in a rose and green floral mini apron dress by August Barron from the brand’s “Real Housewife” Spring 2026 collection. The dress features a floral print, halter-style apron straps, and a sheer skirt. Styled by Ryan Hastings, the look was paired with dusty pink pointed open-toe sandals and Tiffany & Co. rings. Her hair was worn half-up and half-down, with a brick-red lip.

Across the press tour, her styling has referenced elements associated with Princess Peach, with each appearance offering a variation.
Zendaya shifted away from her usual white looks at the Rome premiere of her film “The Drama.” The actress who had been on a streak of white dresses since the beginning of the press tour, chose a different look by wearing a black Giorgio Armani Privé gown previously worn by Cate Blanchett.
Styled by her longtime stylist Law Roach, the black silk dress featured a plunging neckline, embellished with dark stones, though the outfit was dark, it still carried a bridal reference.

At the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Venice International Film Festival in 2025, Cate Blanchett had worn the exact same dress. Her stylist wrote on social media, “something borrowed,” thanking Blanchett for lending it from her archive.
In recent appearances, Zendaya has been wearing archival pieces, including a white Vivienne Westwood gown from 2015 she wore on March 17, presented as “something old.” For the Paris premiere, she appeared in a white Louis Vuitton dress, as “something new.”

She also changed her hairstyle. Instead of her usual neat side-part bob, this time it looked looser, with strands across her face. She paired it with diamond earrings and rings.
During an interview with The Guardian, Law Roach explained that early in Zendaya’s career, he would often dress her in outfits that other celebrities had worn on the red carpet. He did this so she could appear in “Who Wore It Better” features and gain visibility.

Taylor Swift Returns to the Red Carpet in Wiederhoeft at the iHeartRadio Music Awards
Taylor Swift made her first red carpet appearance of 2026 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 26. Appearing in person for the first time since 2023, the singer returned in a showgirl-themed look.
She wore a seafoam green two-piece outfit consisting of a corset top and a matching miniskirt by Wiederhoeft. The corset was designed with silver fringe detailing along one side and visible boning. She paired it with open-toe Jimmy Choo heels.

She wore tourmaline earrings from Dena Kemp, a Spinelli Kilcollin tennis bracelet, rings from Selim Mouzannar and L’Dezen, along with an engagement ring from Travis Kelce, who attended the event but did not walk the red carpet with her. The singer was styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, who also styled her for her “Opalite” music video.
