The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night, January 11, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second year in a row, the night celebrated the best in film and television. While the awards is the main focus of the event, the red carpet remained one of the interesting aspects of the night.

 With Hollywood stars each bringing their own style to the red carpet, from sharp, structured pieces to contemporary fashion with exquisite finesse, the 2026 Golden Globes displayed variety of styles that portrayed not only the latest fashion trends but also the personal style signatures many celebrities are known for. Take for one, Teyana Taylor who always appears in a spectacular style, arrived in a black figure-hugging Schiaparelli gown with detailed cutouts and a ribbon of fabric flowing out from the back of the halter neckline of the dress to form a train.

In contrast, Selena Gomez opted for a classic Hollywood style with a black Chanel gown, decorated with over 200 flowers made from feathers and silk chiffon. Emily Blunt also kept her look deliberately minimal, stepping out in a custom white Louis Vuitton two-piece offering a calm counterpoint to the more dramatic looks on the carpet.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, sequins appeared in different forms, with Kylie Jenner choosing a silver sequined gown, complete with crystal straps that lay across her shoulders, while Miley Cyrus took a darker approach in a black long-sleeve sequined gown, with deep neckline and fanned, pleated pieces that stood above her shoulders.

Other stars appeared in sheer and see-through designs. Jennifer Lawrence went for a strategically layered see-through Givenchy gown, decorated with floral appliqués. She paired it with a satin shawl and gemstone detailings. Jennifer Lopez followed suit in figure-hugging sheer mermaid gown. The men also pushed style boundaries, with Coleman Domingo opting for a Valentino custom look, consisting of a black trousers with a button-up matching jacket designed with sparkling crystal pieces on one side. While Patrick Schwarzenegger gave the traditional tailoring a twist, wearing a suit with a bow tie and a gold accessory pinned to the lapel.

Gigi Hadid is known for experimenting with various hair colors while staying within familiar territory; honey blonde, platinum, and brunette. Now, she’s switching things up with her darkest hair color yet. Along with her hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, the model styled a matte black bob, predicted to be among 2026’s trendy hairstyles.

The new hairstyle was revealed in an  Instagram post shared by Giannetos on January 8. In the images, Hadid is seen wearing a jet-black bob or what the stylist called a “matte black mini bob”, with a silky,  shiny finish. It appeared the look may have been created for a Maybelline shoot, it’s still unclear whether the change is permanent.

The bob had flipped-out ends and a deep side part, styled close to the face. Giannetos told Allure that he called the color “matte black” because it doesn’t have any red undertones. He described the look as chic, modern and new, noting that it can be worn tucked neatly behind the ears or with some pieces left to frame the face.

Hadid was last seen wearing her signature blonde shade in December, when she was photographed on the set of a Super Bowl commercial in New York City. The last time she switched her appearance was in early 2025, when she showed up with a silver-sheened bob at the Le Grand Dîner du Louvre event.

With Bella Hadid also changing her hair after years of dark brunette hair, it seems both sisters are embracing a new look. Known for sticking to particular beauty lanes, the siblings appear to be more open to experimenting this year. Whether permanent or not, Gigi’s matte black bob feels like a great way to start 2026.

Hailey Bieber was spotted in Beverly Hills stepping out for an appointment at Anastasia Beverly Hills, showing a carefully considered winter look that balanced comfort with luxury. She wore a textured high-neck coat in black paired with flared velvet pants and leather stiletto boots.

Accessories were minimal yet strong: rectangular sunglasses, a large Saint Laurent hobo bag, and gold hoop earrings complemented the look, while her hair was pulled back neatly, keeping the focus on the structure and materials of her clothing. The monochrome shade allowed texture and shape to highlight the outfit, showing Bieber’s signature simple style.

Seen on the streets of Beverly Hills, the look bridged high fashion and everyday wear, showing how considered casual wear can carry a daytime look without appearing formal or stiff. As a Saint Laurent ambassador and founder of her beauty brand, Rhode, Bieber’s choices signal an ongoing discussion between her professional commitments and street-level fashion sensibility.
