Dakota Johnson brought the signature sheer style she is known for to the red carpet. The actress attended the London premiere of Verity on Thursday, September 24, at Curzon Mayfair, where she arrived in a see-through gown revealing a black lingerie underneath.

Styled by Kate Young, Johnson wore an off-white, floor-length lace gown from New York designer Colleen Allen’s Fall 2026 collection. The floral lace dress featured a plunging neckline and a layered collar, with a long, streamlined silhouette. Beneath the sheer fabric, she wore a contrasting black triangle bra and matching briefs from Fleur du Mal. She finished the look with open-toe Giuseppe Zanotti heels and kept her beauty look simple with her signature straight brown hair and bangs.

This is not the first time Johnson has been seen in a see-through look. Over the years, the actress has worn different sheer styles on the red carpet, with her most recent appearance coming just two days earlier at Vogue World in Milan, where she wore a sheer black Valentino look.

Johnson was joined at the London premiere by her Verity co-star Josh Hartnett, who wore a black suit. Their other co-star, Anne Hathaway, was absent from the event as she was seen in New York City that same day.

Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2018 novel, Verity follows Lowen Ashleigh, played by Johnson, a writer hired to finish Verity Crawford’s book series after an accident leaves her unable to write. But after moving into the Crawford home, Lowen discovers secrets about Verity.

Rihanna stepped out in a sheer Ferragamo dress in Paris on Wednesday, September 23, following another appearance at Céline Dion’s concert.

The singer was photographed leaving César restaurant in Paris after attending Dion’s concert, wearing Look 61 from Ferragamo’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. The collection debuted during Milan Fashion Week in February, with creative director Maximilian Davis drawing inspiration from the 1920s.

Rihanna’s dress featured a sheer top with a high neckline and ruffled, tiered sleeves. The lower half had a pleated metallic skirt with a cinched hem.

She paired the dress with Amina Muaddi’s Felicia Mule 100 in black satin. The heels retail for $1,100. Rihanna wore her curls down and completed the outfit with sunglasses.

The evening marked another Paris appearance for Rihanna after attending one of Céline Dion’s concerts during the singer’s current residency. Dion began her Paris run at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre earlier this month, with Rihanna attending the September 16 show as well.

For that earlier concert, Rihanna wore a midnight-blue Tom Ford suit with subtle pinstripes. The look featured a tailored blazer with sharp shoulders and a fitted silhouette, worn open over a black lace-trimmed bra and paired with matching trousers. She finished the outfit with pointed-toe snakeskin pumps, diamond earrings, chunky rings and a sequin-fringe Lady Dior bag from Dior’s Cruise 2027 collection. She also wore dark sunglasses and a red lip.

Her latest Ferragamo appearance adds another designer look to the singer’s Paris wardrobe, this time with a metallic pleated dress from the Italian house’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection.

Emma Watson brought fresh flowers to the red carpet at the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on September 19, wearing a black off-the-shoulder dress decorated with living blooms.

The look was developed with stylist Jared Ellner, who worked with Watson from the initial sketches through to the finished dress. The choice of fresh flowers was intentional, connecting the outfit to the museum’s focus on storytelling while reflecting Watson’s longstanding appreciation for flowers and nature.

“Storytelling is one of humanity’s oldest art forms,” Watson said of the museum, describing it as a gift to Los Angeles and its visitors.

The dress itself was made from recycled black velvet sourced in downtown Los Angeles. Its off-the-shoulder silhouette provided the base for a floral arrangement created by Los Angeles florist Anthony Maslo, founder of The Boy Who Cried Flowers.

Maslo and his team attached the flowers by hand on the day of the event. The arrangement featured four varieties of Phalaenopsis orchids, two varieties of Dendrobium orchids, Nerine and Gloriosa flowers, with baby’s breath and broom added to give the arrangement more volume.

The use of living flowers was central to the concept behind the dress. Watson and Ellner wanted the process to reflect the temporary nature of flowers and the importance of appreciating beauty while it is present.

The sustainability details continued through Watson’s accessories. She carried a bag and wore jewellery made from hand-blown reclaimed glass. The material can be melted and remade repeatedly without losing its quality.

The floral work was completed alongside Watson’s hair styling. Hairstylist Daniel Moon worked on her hair in the same room as Maslo and his team, with the florists attaching the flowers to the dress while Moon placed bobby pins in Watson’s hair. Makeup artist Katie Mellinger completed the beauty look.

When Watson saw the finished outfit, she said her mouth “fell open” and described the result as unreal. She also connected the experience to her view of fashion as another form of storytelling.

During the museum opening, Watson highlighted works including pieces associated with Frida Kahlo, Snoopy, Banksy and Darren Cullen.

After the event, the flowers were removed from the dress and are being pressed as keepsakes, preserving the floral elements of a look created specifically for the museum’s opening.
