Soul Legend D’Angelo, 51, Dies After Private Battle with Pancreatic Cancer
D’Angelo, whose real name was Michael Eugene Archer, died at the age of 51 following a private battle with pancreatic cancer. According to his family’s statement, he passed on October 14, 2025, having spent months in the hospital and two weeks in hospice care.
Born on February 11, 1974, in Richmond, Virginia, D’Angelo grew up in a devout Pentecostal household; he began playing piano as a toddler and later performed at local venues and church. He first broke through in 1991, competing (and winning) at Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater. His first album, Brown Sugar, came out in 1995 and made him famous. His second album, Voodoo, came out in 2000 and solidified his indie-soul status. He won many Grammy Awards for songs like “Untitled (How Does It Feel?)”.

D’Angelo’s career was marked by long periods of withdrawal from the public eye, despite his artistic achievement. These withdrawals were typically linked to his battles with addiction, body image, and the pressures of celebrity. In 2014, after many years of silence, he returned with Black Messiah, receiving critical praise and a Grammy win. In recent times he was reportedly working on a fourth album in collaboration with Raphael Saadiq before his illness overtook him.
The family’s statement described him as “the shining star of our family” whose light has dimmed in this life, but whose musical legacy remains. Pleading for privacy during this time and calling fans to mourn with them while celebrating D’Angelo’s artistry.

Tributes have flooded in from across the music world: DJ Premier, who worked with him on “Devil’s Pie,” lamented the loss and saluted his talent. Artists like Jill Scott, Tyler the Creator, Missy Elliot, and Jennifer Hudson , among others, have publicly expressed grief and honored his influence. D’Angelo leaves behind three children Michael, Imani, and Morocco, and a body of work that has inspired successive generations of singers and musicians.
The world of soul, R&B, and neo-soul music has lost a great artist, but the strength and emotion of his songs will live on.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Officially Tie the Knot in London
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are now married. The couple tied the knot at a courthouse in London on May 30. They were reportedly seen exiting the Old Marylebone Town Hall, holding hands and accompanied by a small group of family and friends.
The singer chose a modern bridal look from Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry, wearing a fitted white blazer with gold tortoiseshell buttons down the front and a subtly flared hem, creating a soft, sculpted silhouette around her hips. She paired it with a matching midi skirt featuring a high-low design.

The look was completed with a wide-brimmed white Stephen Jones hat, satin gloves, and pointed-toe Louboutin heels, while she carried a small bouquet of yellow and pink flowers. For accessories, she wore a Bulgari Serpenti diamond choker and diamond stud earrings. Turner complemented her look in a navy blue suit, styled with a matching shirt and tie.

The couple were first linked in January 2024 after meeting at The River Café in London, where they were introduced by the restaurant’s co-founder. They began dating shortly after, and by the end of that year, engagement rumors began circulating when Lipa was seen wearing a chunky gold and diamond ring, on her ring finger.
She later confirmed the engagement in June 2025 during an interview with British Vogue saying, “Yeah, we’re engaged” describing it as “very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever, it’s a really special feeling.”

At the time, she implied that they were in no rush to marry, “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period.” She also shared that while she had never imagined her wedding growing up, all of a sudden she had started to think about what kind of bride she would be, adding that she would “love to have kids one day.”

Tristan Thompson Reveals Why He Got a Vasectomy After Khloé Kardashian’s “No More Kids”
Khloé Kardashian invited her ex, Tristan Thompson, to her Khloé in Wonderland podcast, where the NBA star revealed that he had undergone a vasectomy.
When the reality TV star asked, “Do you wanna have more kids in the future?” Tristan said “I think I signed off for two embryos. So, I mean, if I do have more kids, it’d be coming from you. I already have enough baby moms. Don’t want no more.”

The former couple share two children, daughter True and a son Tatum, who was born via surrogate in 2022. During the conversation, Kardashian added that she helped him make the decision to get a vasectomy, further stating “Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me.” She said on the podcast that Tristan “signed it over” and that she legally owns their frozen embryos.
Thompson acknowledged that he was against the idea in the past, admitting that he can be stubborn and that sometimes he needs to be pushed to making the right choices. He also signed over the rights to his embryos with Khloé, making it clear that he was not open to having more children unless it involved her, “No more kids unless it’s coming from Khloé’s embryos.”

Although, Kardashian secured an option for him, in case he has a future partner. “We saved sperm because I said, what if you get married and your wife doesn’t have kids, and you wanna do that? So we did that. Because you could also reverse it.”
But Tristen made it clear, “No. I’m not, no. I’m not laying down on that table again.”
The two of them started dating in 2016 and later split in 2021. Thompson is a father to other kids, he has a son, Prince, with Jordan Craig, and another son, Theo, with Maralee Nichols.
Their breakup came after reports that he had another child on the way while still in a relationship with Khloé. He later apologized both publicly and privately. Since then, they have continued co-parenting their children.
