Kylie Jenner in Silver at Schiaparelli’s SS26 Show

Published

Kylie Jenner drew cameras the moment she arrived at Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris. Stepping into Place Vendôme in a silver chainmail dress with fringe details, she immediately became one of the evening’s most visible guests.

The dress, created by Daniel Roseberry, was cut with thin straps, an uneven hemline, and layers of metallic fringe that swayed with each step. Jenner carried a matching clutch and wore pointed silver heels, tying the look together. Her hair fell in soft waves, and her makeup leaned warm and understated, keeping the attention firmly on the dress.

From her front-row seat, Kylie supported Kendall Jenner, who closed the show in a sheer black gown dotted with horsehair appliqués and paired with opera-length gloves. Backstage, Kylie captured photos of her sister and shared them to her Instagram Stories, giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the moment.

The Schiaparelli collection itself leaned into sparkle, sculptural design, and nods to 1970s nightlife, with metallic textures and fringe appearing throughout. Kylie’s choice of chainmail silver connected closely to those themes, making her look feel in step with the night’s presentation rather than a separate spectacle.

Coverage of the show reflected that alignment. Publications such as InStyle and Teen Vogue highlighted Kylie’s silver dress alongside the runway designs, and her own posts extended the show’s visibility far beyond Place Vendôme. Between Kendall closing the runway and Kylie’s appearance in the front row, the Jenner sisters ensured Schiaparelli’s SS26 outing generated as much conversation off the runway as on it.

Rabanne has appointed Olivier Rousteing as its new Creative Director, bringing one of fashion’s most influential designers to the French house as it enters its next creative chapter. Rousteing succeeds Julien Dossena, whose 13-year tenure helped redefine Rabanne for a contemporary audience while preserving the house’s signature spirit of innovation.

The appointment marks Rousteing’s return to a leading creative role after concluding a transformative 14-year run at Balmain, where he became one of the industry’s most recognisable designers. Appointed Creative Director at just 25, he reshaped the Parisian label through his bold creative vision, celebrity relationships and influential digital presence, turning Balmain into a global luxury brand.

Announcing the news, Rousteing described joining Rabanne as “a tremendous honour,” paying tribute to founder Paco Rabanne’s pioneering vision and acknowledging the creative foundation established by Dossena. He said he looks forward to building on the house’s rich heritage while contributing his own perspective to its future.

Founded in 1966 by Paco Rabanne, the maison earned international acclaim for challenging traditional fashion conventions through the use of unconventional materials including metal, plastic and chainmail. Over the decades, the brand has remained synonymous with experimentation, craftsmanship and a forward-looking design philosophy that continues to influence contemporary fashion.

Rousteing’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Rabanne. Under parent company Puig, the brand has become one of the group’s strongest global businesses, supported by blockbuster fragrance franchises including 1 Million, Invictus and Fame. The fashion house now enters its next phase with a renewed focus on strengthening the connection between its fashion identity and wider beauty business.

His debut collection for Rabanne is scheduled to be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week in March 2027, offering the first glimpse of how he intends to reinterpret one of France’s most distinctive fashion.

The move also adds another major development to luxury fashion’s ongoing wave of creative leadership changes. Rousteing brings with him a track record of blending heritage with contemporary culture, cultivating a global audience through both his runway collections and his influential presence beyond fashion.

As Rabanne prepares for its next chapter, attention will now turn to Paris Fashion Week in March 2027, where Rousteing will present his first collection for the house.

The heat wave in Paris might have been overwhelming, but it didn’t stop guests from bringing their best. Fashion on the streets mirrored what was happening on the runways, with guests wearing similar textures, shapes and details.

Haute Couture Week, which takes place twice a year, remains one of the most exclusive events in fashion, with only designers approved by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) invited to present their collections. This season’s schedule included brands like Schiaparelli, Chanel, Dior, Viktor & Rolf, Iris Van Herpen, and Robert Wun, alongside newer additions like Standing Ground and Manish Malhotra. While some houses like Maison Margiela were absent, the week still delivered powerful presentations.

Throughout the week, designers unveiled collections filled with hand-stitched elements and bold textures. Gigi Hadid also made an impression on the runway in a black feather cocoon look, which offered a sense of ease in the middle of the heat.

But what happened outside the shows was just as interesting. Despite the hot temperatures, guests stepped out in variety of looks. From A-list names like Cynthia Erivo to Teyana Taylor, the streets of Paris turned into a second runway.

This week, Paris Couture Week for the Fall 2026 season officially kicked off, and on July 7, Chanel presented its latest collection at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. In his second haute couture presentation for the house, Matthieu Blazy drew inspiration from a storybook tied to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, using the brand’s own archives as inspiration.

On the runway, the collection was a mix of sheer fabrics, rich embroidery, and bejeweled finishes. There were also soft, whimsical elements, from pearl-covered pieces and butterfly-like details to bold floral designs and statement jewelry, giving the presentation a fairy tale feel.

The front row featured a number of familiar faces, including Pedro Pascal, Elizabeth Debicki, Alexa Demie, Teyana Taylor, and Sarah Pidgeon, each bringing their own take on Chanel dressing.
