Julia Roberts Updates Her 1990 Armani Suit for New York Appearance
Julia Roberts restyled a look from the 1990 Golden Globes. The actress wore a grey Giorgio Armani suit for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, where she was promoting her new film “After the Hunt”. The outfit was almost identical to the one she wore more than three decades ago.
The most notable difference between this version and the previous one is her tie, Instead of the patterned necktie she wore back then, this one was covered in different embellishments that looked like utensils and some creatures like frog and bumble bee. She paired the tie with a grey Giorgio Armani blazer and plain trousers.

Also, back then she wore a white button-down shirt and paired the suit with men’s-style shoes, but this time around, she opted for a matching grey shirt and swapped the flat footwear for pointed heels, which gave the outfit a more feminine touch.

For the rest of her accessories, Roberts kept things simple. She wore small hoop earrings and glasses with black frames. Her hair was styled into a messy bun with a side part while the makeup was subtle. Rather than holding a Golden Globe as she did in 1990, she carried a black handbag that brought the outfit together. She was styled by Elizabeth Stewart.

The updated version matches the present day aesthetic. The embellished tie, grey shirt, and heels gave the outfit a different style compared to the original one. So it’s safe to say it aligns with today’s fashion trends.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Latest Outfit Has a 1970s Backstory
Olivia Rodrigo was spotted in London with a look that was drawn from the 1970s fashion. The singer was at BBC Studios wearing a polka dot mini dress styled in a way that evoked vintage fashion.

The dress, originally designed by Rudi Gernreich in 1971, featured a classic polka dot pattern with a collared neckline and short sleeves. The standout detail of the outfit was the cropped green sweater vest layered over it. The added layer altered the silhouette adding a pop of green, combining 1970s references with a modern edge.
Gernreich, an Austrian-American designer, was a key figure in 1960s and 1970s fashion. He is known for pairing bold fabrics with unconventional pieces. His style was embraced by figures such as Twiggy and Peggy Moffitt.

The singer styled the outfit with black leather pumps with short block heels and a white knee-length socks. Her accessories were minimal and not overboard, including a black Paloma Wool shoulder bag and black Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.
Olivia was at BBC Studios to promote her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
