Day two of Paris Haute Couture Week continued as the Grand Palais was transformed into a garden-inspired set, decorated with large mushrooms, delicate floral installations, and controlled lighting effects, marking a clear departure from the designer’s recent subway show.

The designer Matthieu Blazy presented his first haute couture for the house. “Haute Couture is the very soul of Chanel. It is the foundation and the full expression of the House,” Blazy wrote in his show notes. Beyond the stage décor, the front row gathered some of the influential figures in music, film, and fashion. For the occasion, many of the stars wore outfits from Blazy’s previous two collections.
