Brooklyn Beckham Speaks Out on Family Dispute
Brooklyn Beckham has publicly addressed his relationship with his parents, Sir David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, in a statement posted on social media this week. The 26-year-old said he felt compelled to speak out after years of speculation and media coverage about his personal life. He described ongoing tensions and said he had created distance from his family in order to gain clarity about his own life and marriage.
In the statement, Brooklyn said he had previously tried to keep private matters out of the public eye but felt pushed to respond after repeated media commentary about him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. He denied rumours that Nicola controlled him and said he himself had at times felt controlled by his parents.

Brooklyn outlined specific grievances he said contributed to the strain in his family relationships. These included his mother withdrawing from designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, what he described as pressure to sign away rights to his name before the 2022 wedding, and comments made about Nicola’s place in the family on the night before their ceremony. He also said that members of his family made remarks during his wedding that he found inappropriate.
According to Brooklyn, these incidents, among others, led to a deterioration in his relationship with his parents and siblings. He said that he has since been estranged from them and that some family members have blocked him on social media.

Brooklyn added that stepping back from these dynamics has improved his well-being and allowed him and Nicola to focus on building a private life together, separate from media scrutiny.
The background of this public dispute stretches back several years, with reports of tension emerging around Brooklyn and Nicola’s relationship, wedding arrangements, and other personal matters. Until now, Brooklyn had not publicly confirmed or detailed these disagreements.

Neither David nor Victoria Beckham has issued a formal response to Brooklyn’s statement. In late 2025, David shared photographs of his children with a message of love but did not directly address the estrangement with his eldest son.
Brooklyn’s account offers one of the clearest explanations yet from a member of the Beckham family regarding their internal difficulties and marks a rare departure from the discretion the family has traditionally maintained in public.
Elizabeth Olsen is expecting her first child with her husband, musician Robbie Arnett.
The actress was photographed stepping out of All Time restaurant in Los Angeles in a relaxed daytime outfit. She wore a white button-down shirt worn open at the front, paired with loose-fitting trousers and flat shoes. She was also seen with her hand resting around her midsection while walking.

Olsen and Arnett, a musician and member of the band Milo Greene, have maintained a private relationship over the years. They were first linked in 2017, became engaged in 2019, and later married quietly before the COVID-19 pandemic, with the timeline later acknowledged in past interviews. The two have stayed relatively private about their relationship.

The news follows a recent sighting of Elizabeth and Robbie Arnett running errands together in Bel-Air. During the outing, the Eternity actress wore an oversized sweater.
No public statement has been released by either Olsen or Arnett regarding the pregnancy at this time.
David Beckham received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 12, during a ceremony held in Los Angeles at Ovation Hollywood.
The former England captain was awarded the 2,849th star in recognition of his contribution to sports entertainment. He was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Victoria Beckham, and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

For the ceremony, Beckham wore a navy suit, white shirt and matching tie. Victoria Beckham attended in a long gray dress.
Guests in attendance included Eva Longoria, James Corden and former U.S. soccer player Landon Donovan. Brooklyn Beckham was absent from the ceremony.

The ceremony adds another milestone to Beckham’s career, which has included spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as appearances for the England national team. He remains involved in football through his ownership role at Inter Miami CF.
Taylor Swift attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs, joining Este Haim and Alana Haim courtside for the matchup.
Her appearance came after she attended the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles the previous night, before returning to New York for the high-stakes game at Madison Square Garden. She was seated in celebrity row alongside the Haim sisters as the Knicks continued their Finals run.

During the game, Swift was shown on the Madison Square Garden video board as she watched from courtside with the Haim sisters.
