Best-Dressed at the Academy Museum Gala

Published

on

The Academy Museum Gala was full of glitz and glamour, held on Saturday October 18, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The theme for the event was “Met Gala of the West”. This year’s gala honored Penélope Cruz, Walter Salles, Bruce Springsteen, Byron Yang, and also raised funds for the Academy Museum to support its exhibitions and public programs.

But that’s not our focus for now, let’s get right into another interesting part of the event which is the red carpet. Most celebrities wore looks from the Spring/Summer 2026 runways.

Below are some of the best dressed stars of the evening.

Jenna Ortega

Jenna wore a piece from Grace Ling SS26 couture look. Styled by Enrique Melendez the young star came in a metallic sculptural breastplate shaped into a leaf, it was hooked around her neck, covering her chest area and leaving the back open. She wore it with a burgundy satin slip skirt, silver hoop earrings and her hair was styled in a side-part ponytail. Her bleached eyebrows and smudgy eyeshadow gave her an alluring appearance.

Kim Kardashian

Kim dressed literally in a head-to-toe Maison Margiela couture look: a nude mask covering her entire face and held in place with a crystal-embellished choker, a strapless corseted gown with flowing sleeves connected to the hem of the dress. Her gemstone rings matched the ones on her neck. The look balanced mystery and beauty, the typical Maison Margiela style.

Rebecca Hall

She opted for a Thom Browne ensemble. On the bottom, she wore a black maxi skirt but what diverted my attention was the top, it was like a painting. From her collar bones to her midriff, the top was covered in black and white artistic canvas, it had transparent long-sleeves attached to it. The monochrome palette made her look like a work of art.

Demi Moore

The actress dazzled in a maroon asymmetrical gown from Prada. Her dress features a deep plunge, spaghetti straps. It was fitted at the waist to enhance her figure before flaring out into a full skirt. One side of the skirt had a subtle cutout, giving room for the excess fabric that extended into a tulle train. Bold diamond and ruby accessories concluded the outfit.

Eva Longoria

Eva came in an Elie Saab gown that featured intricate lace detailing and plunging neckline. It gently hugged her figure before flowing freely from the knee downwards. Her brunette waves were left loosed and minimal jewelry completed the look.

Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco

The newly-wed made their way to the Academy Museum gala red-carpet in coordinated style. Gomez went for a strapless gown with a blazer draped around her shoulders, she looked classy especially in those bold red lips. Blanco on the other hand opted for a sleek tuxedo look, together their outfits complemented each other.

Regina Hall

Regina arrived in a yellow gown by Cong Tri’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. The transparent off-shoulder had pleated-like design, she paired the fit with a silver clutch and her hair was styled in a neat center part bob.

Sydney Sweeney

Sweeney appeared in a tailored black dress by Armani Prive. The floor-length attire featured a halter neckline and daring cutout at the front, showing a bit of cleavage. Her makeup was subtle and hair styled into a neat updo leaving a few strands to frame her face.

Joey King

Joey brought subtle drama in a Carolina Herrera gown paired with Chopard jewelry. The mermaid-like dress had a geometric cut design at the front, adding a touch of sculptural detail to the silhouette.

Kate Hudson

Kate chose a sleeveless pleated gown by Stella McCartney. From the waist down, one side of the fabric folded in line with the pleats above. She completed the look with silver accessories, skipping a necklace while her hair was tucked behind her ears.

Janet Jackson

The artist appeared in a red piece by Stéphane Rolland. Featuring a high neckline, the gown flowed into an exaggerated design with layers of fabric gathered into floral-like folds. The voluminous fit created a dramatic yet graceful finish.

Ava DuVernay

Ava went for an off-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown. The design combined a structured crimson band that wrapped around her shoulders with a sleek black gown. She wore her hair in a high braided bun and opted for subtle jewelry.

Just like always, the Academy Museum Gala delivered a night of glamorous style. Whether you showed up with your face fully covered like Kim Kardashian or opted for a softer, classic look, every guest made their own statement. Proving there is no particular way or style to show up for a red carpet

Anne Hathaway attended Moncler’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Opening Cocktail Party & Dinner in New York City on Thursday, September 10, showing off her growing baby bump in an all-denim look.

The actress posed on the red carpet in an oversized denim shirt with two large pockets at the front, visible stitches and rolled-up cuffs. She left several buttons undone, fastening one around the chest and leaving enough room for her baby bump to show. She wore the jacket with wide-leg jeans, completing the full denim-on-denim look.

She styled the denim with gold jewelry and black strappy sandals. Her accessories included a gold wristwatch and a gold necklace. For her glam, Hathaway went for a nude makeup look instead of her usual bright red lip, while her hair was left down in loose waves around her shoulders.

Before this recent appearance, Hathaway attended Bulgari’s Serpenti Infinito event in New York City, where she wore a strapless lilac chiffon gown by Alexander McQueen with gold metallic heeled sandals. As a Bulgari ambassador, she accessorized with the brand’s necklace featuring a purple gemstone and wore her hair in a sleek blowout with her signature red lip.

Since announcing in June that she is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, Hathaway has continued to step out in different maternity looks. From gowns to more laid-back outfits, she has found different ways to dress her growing baby bump while attending movie premieres, and other occasions.

In August, she appeared at events including the Disney Legends Awards and the Los Angeles premiere of The End of Oak Street, where she wore a blue top with baggy jeans. With her upcoming film Verity is set to hit theaters on October 2, we can expect many more appearances from the actress.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Bring Newlywed Style to New York Fashion Week

Published

on

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner stepped out together at New York Fashion Week, making their first Fashion Month appearance as a married couple.

The pair attended Bulgari’s Serpenti Infiniti after-party at the Boom Boom Room, where Lipa wore a cream embellished bodysuit with tailored black trousers, black pointed pumps and a leopard-print Giuseppe Zanotti bag. She accessorised with Bulgari’s Tubogas Serpenti choker and bracelet, along with the custom Eera engagement ring she has continued to wear since her engagement to Turner.

Turner wore a navy shirt with matching trousers and white sneakers, keeping the focus on the contrast between his dark tailoring and Lipa’s more statement-led look.

The New York appearance comes several months after the couple formalised their marriage. Lipa and Turner held a civil ceremony at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall on May 31, with Lipa wearing a custom Schiaparelli couture suit and Turner in a navy suit. They later celebrated with a wedding in Sicily in June, with the main festivities taking place at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria.

Lipa’s bridal wardrobe became one of the defining elements of the celebrations. For the Sicilian festivities, she wore custom looks from Bottega Veneta before changing into a Chanel Haute Couture wedding gown designed by Matthieu Blazy for the main celebration. The Chanel dress was created with 480,000 beads and 25,000 feathers and finished with a six-metre embroidered veil.

The wedding followed more than two years of public appearances for the couple, who began dating in 2024 and became engaged in 2025. Their relationship has also frequently intersected with fashion, from Lipa’s red-carpet appearances to Turner’s appearances alongside her at major events.

Since their wedding, the couple have spent time travelling through Italy, including a road trip along the Amalfi Coast, while Lipa also returned to work with her Sunny Hill Festival and studio sessions in Stockholm. Turner, meanwhile, has been promoting One Night Only.

They returned to the red carpet together last month for the New York premiere of One Night Only. Lipa wore a black Ferragamo dress with Bulgari Serpenti jewellery, while Turner wore Louis Vuitton.

At the Bulgari party, however, their approach was less coordinated. Lipa’s cream-and-black combination brought the visual impact, while Turner’s navy tailoring provided a quieter counterpoint. Neither needed to mirror the other’s clothes for the pairing to work.

For Lipa, the appearance also marks a return to the kind of fashion-focused public appearances that have long accompanied her music career. And with New York Fashion Week now underway, her latest outing places her firmly back on the fashion calendar this time with Turner by her side as her husband.
