Tom Holland complemented her look with a classic navy sweater layered over a blue polo shirt. He completed the outfit with light-wash jeans and leather boots, keeping his appearance simple for the evening.

The outing comes as Zendaya and Holland are in New York promoting their new film, The Odyssey. Lupita Nyong’o Was A Golden Goddess In Nicholas Oakwell Couture At ‘The Odyssey’ Premiere

Lupita Nyong’o arrived at the New York premiere of “The Odyssey” in gold, and honestly, nobody was ready. The actress hit the red carpet at AMC Lincoln Square on Tuesday night wearing a dress that fans couldn’t get enough of. Her outfit was the Collins gown, a strapless piece from London-based designer Nicholas Oakwell Couture, named after screen icon Joan Collins and inspired by her commanding role in “Esther and the King.”

The statuesque shape came from a metallic gold floral lace overlay sculpted over a built-in, lace-up corset that sharply defined her waist. Below that fitted bodice, the fabric flowed into a long column skirt with soft Grecian draping and a bold thigh-high slit. She finished the gilded look with metallic gold block-heel sandals from Aldo, styled by her longtime stylist Micaela Erlanger.

Her hair, styled by Vernon François, was pulled into a sculpted high updo that framed her face and left her neckline bare for the jewelry to shine. Makeup artist Nick Barose kept her glam warm, finishing it off with a glossy berry lip that popped against the gold. Every piece she wore that night pointed back to the film’s mythology. Around her neck sat a Sabyasachi five-strand pearl and diamond choker, its uncut diamonds totaling 11.21 carats, and on her hand, a matching 18k gold Sabyasachi Bengal Tiger ring set with a bright blue sapphire. She rounded off the look with a book-shaped “Odyssey” clutch by Olympia Le-Tan, hand-embroidered in blue, navy, and gold to resemble a vintage copy of Homer’s epic.

The timing worked in her favor too. In The Odyssey, Nyong’o plays both Helen of Troy and her twin sister, Clytemnestra. Helen is often described in Greek mythology as the world’s most beautiful woman, making the gold look a fitting choice for the film’s New York premiere.

The New York premiere also brought together much of The Odyssey cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Samantha Morton and Elliot Page. For Nyong’o, it was the final stop on the film’s press tour, and she ended it in gold.

Zendaya is showing that the gladiator sandal could be making a comeback, proving why the once-popular style still holds fashion appeal. This past Monday in New York, she stepped out wearing a vintage Alberta Ferretti dress from 2008. The white mini dress featured a plunging neckline and metallic paneling, but the true highlight was her footwear: a pair of towering, knee-high gladiator sandals from Sophia Webster. With straps laced tightly up her legs, the look felt like a direct tribute to ancient Rome.

This isn’t just a random fashion choice. Zendaya is currently promoting The Odyssey, a new film where she portrays Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare. Her stylist, Law Roach, is leaning heavily into this theme for her public appearances, using fashion to channel the themes Greek mythology. By mixing a flowy, Greco-Roman inspired dress with bold leather sandals, the team created a look that feels both cinematic and high-fashion.

This is the second time in just a few weeks that Zendaya has turned to this style. She previously paired a chic ivory dress by Khaite with glossy, lizard-effect Christian Louboutin gladiator sandals. These repeated appearances have placed the gladiator sandal back in the fashion conversation and brought attention to the style once again.

Interestingly, this is a look Zendaya has supported for a long time. She wore knee-high gladiator sandals as far back as 2015 and even designed her own pair in 2017 for her former clothing line, Daya by Zendaya. For her, wearing these sandals isn’t following a trend; it is returning to a signature style she has loved for years.

When Zendaya adopts a trend, people pay attention. She has a unique talent for taking pieces that have been dormant in fashion history and making them feel essential once again. As The Odyssey heads to theaters on July 17, Zendaya’s latest appearances could further fuel interest in the strappy, lace-up shape. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to try out the gladiator look, this is it. It’s bold, it’s historic, and thanks to stars like Zendaya, it is the biggest footwear trend of the year.

Kate Middleton returned to the annual tennis tournament on July 12, and this time, she came with her family. The Princess of Wales attended the men’s singles final in London with her husband, Prince William, and two of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

She arrived in an olive green gown by Emilia Wickstead, featuring an asymmetrical cut and a cape detail draped over one shoulder. The dress had a minimal, defined waist and fell into a mid-length skirt with subtle pleats. The cape-like design trailed down her back on the right side. She completed the look with gold Ralph Lauren pumps and carried a coffee-colored DeMellier Nano Montreal. For accessories, she chose Van Cleef & Arpels Magic Alhambra earrings.

One of the most meaningful details of her outfit was the green and purple ribbon pinned to her chest. The ribbon is the official emblem of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and reflects her role as its patron, a position she assumed in 2016 after Queen Elizabeth II transferred the patronage to her. Since taking over trophy presentation duties from the Duke of Kent in 2019, the Princess of Wales has regularly presented the men’s singles champion with the Wimbledon trophy.

This appearance comes after Saturday, July 11, when she presented a trophy during the Wimbledon women’s singles final to Czechia’s Linda Noskova. For that appearance, she wore a red dress by Roland Mouret, paired with nude heels and a matching purse.

At the final, she walked beside her family. Prince William and Prince George wore matching navy suits with striped ties, while Princess Charlotte wore a blue knee-length dress trimmed with delicate ruffles, and she paired it with white ballet flats.

Since the start of the 2026 Wimbledon tournament, the Princess of Wales has made several appearances, attending an early-round match, showing her interest in the sport.

Andy Murray previously told HELLO! magazine that Princess Kate is “definitely a tennis fan” and plays the sport herself. I think.” He continued, “I think she also plays paddle. We watched Katie Swan and Madison Keys, so it was good to be watching a British player together.”
