It was a signature choice from Ortega, consistent with the distinct gothic-leaning glam she and stylist Enrique Melendez have established, whether in a shredded GapStudio dress, a reptile-texture Ashi Studio gown, or tiny mini black boots on a beach.

Her fellow jury member Anya Taylor-Joy joined her on the red carpet wearing a custom black Dior gown with a rounded, two-tier structure. Bringing back the old style that inspired the original peplums of Dior’s 1947 New Look.

Svitlana Bevza, a Kyiv-born designer, designed Ortega’s gown. Her label is known for polished and minimalist tailoring, favoured by celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Pamela Anderson. Bevza pushed further into abstraction, focusing on geometric shapes and clean lines in her spring 2026 collection. This made it Ideal for Ortega’s modern reinterpretation of the peplum style.
