Kris Jenner’s mom, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, has died at the age of 91. Jenner announced the news on July 16 through an emotional Instagram tribute, where she spoke on the impact her mother had on her life and family.

“Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ,” Jenner wrote. “There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye. My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted.”

In the tribute, Jenner expressed how difficult the loss has been, noting that their hearts are broken but that her mother’s love will continue to live on through the family. Jenner also thanked her for the sacrifices she made, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave throughout her life, adding, “When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us. There is not a part of me that isn’t shaped by you. And if I have done anything right in this world, it’s because I spent my life trying to live in a way that would make you proud.”

Before the Kardashian-Jenner family became widely known, MJ founded a children’s boutique called Shannon & Co. in San Diego in 1980. She also worked as an etiquette teacher, model, and entrepreneur.

MJ was married to engineer Robert Houghton, with whom she welcomed Kris Jenner in 1955. The couple later separated when Jenner was 7. She later married businessman Harry Shannon, who helped raise Jenner and her sister in San Diego. The couple stayed together for about 40 years until Harry died in a car crash in 2003.

Long before they became the faces of different generations of football, Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal shared an encounter that has since become one of the sport’s most remarkable full-circle stories.

Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, photographs taken nearly two decades ago have once again captivated football fans around the world. The images show a 20-year-old Messi gently bathing and holding a six-month-old Yamal during a UNICEF charity photoshoot at Barcelona’s Camp Nou a moment that neither could have imagined would one day lead to football’s biggest stage.

The photographs were taken in 2007 for Barcelona’s annual charity calendar, produced in partnership with UNICEF. Yamal’s family had been selected through a raffle to participate in the project, which paired first-team players with local children to raise awareness and support UNICEF’s work.

The idea that the two would one day meet in a FIFA World Cup final would have seemed unimaginable. At the time, Messi was emerging as one of football’s brightest young talents, while Yamal was simply an infant attending the charity event with his family.

The photographs first drew worldwide attention in 2024 after Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, shared them on social media. They quickly spread across international news outlets and football communities, becoming one of the game’s most memorable viral moments. Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, the images have resurfaced once again, reigniting interest in the extraordinary connection between the two stars.

Now 19, Yamal has established himself as one of football’s brightest young players. His performances for Spain have showcased a level of creativity, confidence and composure that belies his age, cementing his place among the sport’s most exciting talents.

Across the pitch stands Messi, whose career has redefined modern football. Anne Hathaway made an appearance on The Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she revealed how expecting her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman, has been nothing short of amazing. The Odyssey star then explained that she and her husband were actually “shocked” when they learned she was pregnant.

“Oh my gosh, it’s amazing, it’s amazing. I mean, we knew what we were doing, but we were shocked it worked. We were shocked it went this way, so we are calling this one our buzzer beater,” she told Seth Meyers.

Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, are parents to two sons, Jonathan and Jack, who are 10 and 6 years old, respectively. She recently revealed she was expecting her third child through an Instagram video shared on June 19, where she appeared in a flowing white dress, walking straight toward the camera while cradling her baby bump before playfully exiting the frame, captioning the post, “x, baby, I’m yours, x.”

According to a source who spoke to People following the announcement, Hathaway has been embracing this moment with gratitude. “She’s grateful for where she is in her career and for the opportunity to be part of a film that means so much to so many people. Complaining just isn’t Anne. She approaches things with gratitude and professionalism,” the source said. The insider added that she is currently focused on her family as she prepares to welcome baby number three, while also looking forward to the release of The Odyssey, which arrives on July 17 and Verity.

The source also revealed that Hathaway intentionally waited before announcing her pregnancy during the promotional tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2. The reason was that the 43-year-old wanted the spotlight to remain on the movie rather than shifting to her personal life. “Anne was excited about the movie and wanted the attention to stay on the project. She has always been very good at separating her personal life from her work life. She wanted to reveal the pregnancy on her own terms,” the insider explained, adding that the press tour was about celebrating the film and getting fans excited.

Now that the news is finally out, Hathaway has been balancing both her career and personal life. The actress has recently been appearing on the press tour for The Odyssey, in which she stars as Penelope. The film also features stars like Tom Holland, Zendaya, Matt Damon, and others. Throughout the tour, she has stepped out in different looks, showcasing her growing baby bump.

During her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Hathaway chose an ivory two-piece from Zac Posen for GapStudio. The look featured a breezy top with slim straps, merged with a flowing long skirt. She styled it with transparent Aquazzura stilettos and accessorized with silver jewelry, including dangling earrings, a bracelet, and rings. Her hair was left in soft, bouncy curls that rested around her shoulders, completing the look.

Rapper and reality television personality Tommie Lee was arrested during the 2026 FIFA World Cup after authorities said she allegedly entered Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, through an unauthorized entrance without a valid ticket.

The incident occurred on July 11, during the quarterfinal match between England and Norway, one of the tournament’s most anticipated knockout fixtures. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Lee, whose real name is Atasha Chizaah Jefferson, allegedly bypassed security measures and made her way into the stadium before being stopped by deputies in the 100-level seating section.

Authorities charged the rapper with interference with a sporting or entertainment event, a third-degree felony under Florida law. Investigators said she entered the venue without proper authorization, prompting law enforcement officers on site to take her into custody.

The arrest quickly drew attention on social media after news of the incident emerged. However, officials described it as an isolated security matter and said it did not disrupt the match or affect the overall safety of fans attending the game.

Lee was one of six people arrested during the England versus Norway fixture. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that 19 spectators were ejected from the stadium for separate incidents, while tournament operations continued without interruption.

Court records indicate that Lee was later released after posting a $1,000 bond. She has since pleaded not guilty to the charge. As with any criminal case, the allegations remain before the court, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Tommie Lee rose to prominence through her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta before launching a music career and later featuring on other reality television projects. Over the years, she has remained a regular subject of entertainment headlines, often attracting public attention.

The arrest comes as the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to draw massive crowds across host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Tournament organizers have maintained heightened security at all venues, with thousands of spectators passing through extensive screening procedures before every match.

As the case moves through the Florida court system, the incident has also highlighted the strict security measures in place at World Cup venues, where unauthorized entry is treated as a serious offence regardless of a person’s public profile.
