To celebrate marking the late Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday, Kate Middleton honored her by wearing a three-tier pearl necklace from the late Queen’s jewellery collection to a Buckingham Palace reception on Tuesday, April 21. The piece, worn by the late Queen in her last official portrait, was featured at the commemorative royal event.

The necklace has since been styled by Kate Middleton on several occasions since the Queen’s death in September 2022. She previously wore it to a Buckingham Palace reception before the funeral, paired it with jewelry associated with Princess Diana, including a bracelet, and the Queen’s Silver Jubilee pearl earrings. Kate also wore the necklace during a state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron in July, where she styled it with a pale pink Dior outfit.

For the occasion, the Princess of Wales completed the outfit with a lilac Emilia Wickstead midi dress. She paired the look with the Bahrain pearl drop earrings, made from pearls gifted to Princess Elizabeth on her wedding day in 1947.

She attended the event with her husband, Prince William, alongside other members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla to mark the centenary of the late monarch, following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022 at the age of 96.
