Inside Jenna Ortega’s Obsession with Catholic Aesthetics

Published

on

Jenna Ortega is noted for her fashion choices. Ever since her Wednesday Addams days, she’s embraced a darker aesthetic. From gothic outfits to simple dresses accessorized with symbols that evoke cathedral-inspired motifs.

Those repeated details like the crucifix are hard to miss, and her recent appearance sums up her fixation with Catholic aesthetics.

For the second day of the 22nd Marrakech Film Festival, Jenna Ortega stepped out in a silky gown by Dolce & Gabbana.  Styled by Enrique Melendez, the halter-neck dress was wrapped around her neck like a scarf, with a backless silhouette. It was paired with stacked gold platform heels, a ruby ring and stacked bracelets. A sheer panel hung loosely around her hips, and held together by a gold chain with a cross pendant.

For her hair and makeup, her glam makeup artist Saskia Ryan and hairstylist Mathieu Guignaudeau maintained her signature look. She wore her usual smudged smoky under-eyes which add to her goth edge, with a red lipstick. Her hair was styled in a straight center part.

The day before, Jenna attended the opening ceremony in a black floor-length gown by Bevza from their Spring-Summer 2026 collection. The dress featured a suit-like bodice with twisted lapels and a V-shaped neckline, while a thick band separated the top from the skirt. She continued to lean into her gothic-inspired style, wearing bleached eyebrows and smoky under-eye makeup.

Kendall Jenner made a front-row appearance during the Milan Fashion Week at the Fall/Winter 2026 show for Emporio Armani. The supermodel arrived in Milan earlier this week and for this occasion, she once again leaned into her signature style as she attended the runway presentation.

She wore a black knee-length dress from the fashion house. The gown featured a floral jacquard pattern in a lighter shade of black which had a soft sheen, along with a bateau neckline that framed the shoulders.

As she arrived at the show, she styled the look with a chocolate-brown shawl embroidered with delicate floral details in a similar earthy tone. Draped across the front of her chest, the ends wrapped around her shoulders and moved gently behind her like a cape, leaving her back exposed. She later removed the shawl after taking her seat at the show.

Kendall paired the outfit with strappy black heels, dark-brown sunglasses, and silver teardrop earrings from Méga. Her hair was worn down in a straight style, while a glossy pink lip completed the styling. Jenner sat front row at the show alongside Nicholas Galitzine and Elodie.

During her time in Milan, she has been seen in a series of tonal outfits. On Tuesday, she stepped out in a gray turtleneck paired with a matching long skirt, and the next evening she chose a navy sweater and crisp white trousers for dinner.

Milan Fashion Week wraps on March 2, before the fashion calendar moves on to Paris for the next round of runway shows.
