Simone Biles, the ever-elegant Queen Latifah also showed pure fandom from her seat. Andrew Scott brought old-school charm in a soft green ensemble, while Anna Wintour held court with refined composure. Lin-Manuel Miranda reunited with Jasmine Cephas Jones for some theatrical flair, and Trinity Rodman and her boyfriend Ben Shelton’s press were also present. Beyond the spectators, Naomi Osaka transformed her court appearance into a high-concept fashion moment, wearing red from head to toe, embellished with bedazzled florals in her locs and a rhinestone Labubu keychain that she cheekily dubbed “Billie Jean Bling,” reviving flower-crown nostalgia with twenty-first-century sparkle.
The tournament ends on September 8 so far, it has been filled with excitement and glamour. The U. S Open continues to bring together the very best of tennis , celebrities, and fashion in one event. A perfect way to close out the New York summer.
Rihanna kept her streak going. Following weekend appearances in Miu Miu, Vaquera, and Saint Laurent to celebrate A$AP Rocky’s new album, Rihanna returned to the streets in another bold look, continuing her bold fashion choices.
On January 20, 2026, she was seen in New York City wearing pieces from Alaïa’s Winter 2026 collection, featuring a wool-blend tiger-print coat and coordinating tiger-print heels. The ensemble included a brown scarf draped over the coat.

The look was accessorized with sunglasses, red lipstick, and layered gold and diamond chokers. The coat and heels were reported to be valued at approximately $7,050 and $1,850, respectively.
Rihanna’s appearance highlighted the resurgence of tiger and animal prints across fashion streets and runways in 2026. Vogue noted her tiger-print heels as part of an ’80s-inspired animal-print revival, distinct from more traditional leopard or cheetah prints.

Naomi Osaka Makes a Grand Fashion Entrance at the 2026 Australian Open — On Her Own Terms
Naomi Osaka arrived at the 2026 Australian Open in a jellyfish-inspired outfit for her first-round match against Croatia’s Antonia Ruzic at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. The Japanese player has never treated the tennis court as a place just for sport. She always expresses herself through fashion, bringing her personal style into her on-court looks.
Osaka shared with Vogue the inspiration behind the outfit, stating that the idea came from her 2-year-old daughter, Shai. Naomi explained that while reading a story to her daughter, a page featuring marine life had an image of a jellyfish. She showed it to Shai, who reacted with excitement.

The design was brought to life by a collaboration between Nike, Osaka, Marty Harper, and her designer Robert Wun, who has dressed stars like Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and Cardi B. The top, designed to mimic the shape of a jellyfish, combined shades of turquoise and green, with flowing, tentacle-like details along the sleeves. It was layered over a racerback top and paired with a pleated miniskirt, worn over wide-leg white pants, creating a fluid, ocean-inspired effect.
What complemented the outfit was a wide-brimmed hat with a white veil and butterflies perched on top. The butterfly detail was suggested by her designer, Wun, which has a personal significance for him.

Robert shared with Vogue that he had previously been inspired by one of Osaka’s moments on the court; “One of the looks from my fall 2024 collection was inspired by her moments at court when a butterfly had landed on her face mid-match.” For this Australian Open look, Wun revisited that story and incorporated a butterfly into the design.

Osaka isn’t just known for her excellent performance on the court. She’s also recognized for bringing fashion to every match. Last season, she captured her fans’ attention with her custom, crystal-encrusted Labubu’s, which she carried during each round of the 2025 US Open.
