Stars Bring Daytime Glam to the Women in Entertainment Gala

Published

This might be the busiest month of the year, with a steady run of events and award shows. Among them is the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala. It’s one of the rare red carpet events that takes place in the morning. Held on Wednesday in Beverly Hills, saw a number of high-profile women arrive in looks that showed a daytime event style stands on equal ground.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala celebrates women making notable achievements across film, TV, and music. Starting off the morning red carpet Jennifer Lopez opted for a business-class-inspired outfit. Kerry Washington followed with a textured jacquard look, while Dakota Johnson went for a black dress. Gwyneth Paltrow and other stars arrived in varied interpretations of daytime wear. Here’s a closer look at what some of the celebrities wore:

Jennifer Lopez

Styled by her go-to stylist, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Jlo gave a fresh angle on office-inspired clothing. She wore a chocolate brown suit from Harithand, consisting of a midi skirt paired with an oversized blazer with a rounded hem, which is different from the blazer, typically cut with clean, angular lines. One side of the jacket was joined to the other end, making it difficult to tell where began or ended.  She completed the look with Gianvito Rossi pumps, Tyler Ellis clutch and a couple of golden chokers.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth chose a long-sleeve white midi dress from her own label Gwyn. The dress had a front slit, giving it a clean, contemporary line, while the white tweed added texture. She styled with red pumps, introducing a sharp color contrast to the look.

Dakota Johnson

The actress went for a black Lotte dress from Khaite for the gala. The slim-strapped dress had a fitted bodice and a gentle fluted hem. Khaite Jett pumps and Sophie Buhai Lou Lou drop earrings completed her look.

Chase wore a Proenza Schouler Irma draped dress. Styled by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, the gown had a high neckline and a one-shoulder silhouette, with draped construction and a pleated maxi-skirt.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington arrived in a coordinated outfit by Jonathan Simkhai: a jacquard bustier-style top paired with a midi skirt from his Fall 2025 collection. She paired it with metallic pointed-toe heels and a Jeffrey Levinson mirrored clutch.

Nikki arrived in an all-black outfit. She wore a fitted black corset-style top with a faint bra-reveal detail, a trend that’s been seen frequently on the red carpet. It was paired with straight-leg trousers and a cropped satin blazer for a crisp finish. Pointed toe heels completed the outfit.

Regina Hall

Regina chose a Brunello Cucinelli wrap-midi dress with rolled sleeves. The cinched waist gave the outfit an easy but structured silhouette, completed with strappy sandals and a white clutch.

Selma Blair

Selma picked her outfit from Tod’s Fall 2025 collection. The dress was a mix of leather and knit. The combination of materials added structure to the piece, while David Webbjewels finished the styling.

Who says red carpet only happens at night? The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala made the morning a style showcase. From structured suits to modern midi styles, every outfit was fully event-ready.
