This marks another moment in Obama’s long relationship with Thom Browne. She previously wore the designer during Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013, selecting a navy coat-and-dress outfit that introduced Browne’s precise tailoring to a global audience. The Critics’ Choice Awards marked the start of the 2026 awards season, held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, January 4th. He predicted that  “expensive hair” will be one of the biggest hair trends in 2026. According to him, it doesn’t mean spending excessively at the salon, but choosing styles that look voluminous and healthy, hair that feels like a natural extension of simple but expensive.
