See the Best Fashion From the Critics’ Choice Awards
The Critics’ Choice Awards marked the start of the 2026 awards season, held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, January 4th. The night celebrated the best in film and television from 2025. Last year delivered some of the best original films, adaptations, and screenplays on both the small and big screens. As a result, the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Beyond all the awards, the red carpet did not disappoint, with stars arriving in a mix of sculptural pieces, and tailored looks.

Ariana Grande continued her love for archival fashion with a frothy, tulle-overlay gown by Alberta Ferretti, while Chase Infiniti chose a butter-yellow Louis Vuitton two-piece featuring a high-waisted opera skirt and built-in cape. Elle Fanning delivered with exquisite panache in a deep-plunging gold metal sequin gown from Ralph Lauren. Mia Goth arrived in a clean, luxurious two-toned silk dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline from Dior.

While some celebrities opted for minimalist looks, others chose to make a more dramatic impression on the red carpet, appearing in outfits with structural shapes with attractive details. Teyana Taylor for one paired a khaki Saint Laurent suit with a feathered boa and thigh-high boots, showing tailoring as a compelling alternative to evening gowns. Audrey Nuna embraced a black gown with circular shapes that dominated the red carpet.
The gentlemen added their own flair to the red carpet, mixing classic tailoring with modern touches. Timothée Chalamet kept it cool in a pinstripe Givenchy suit with a white button-down, archival pink floral silk tie and Chelsea boots. Michael B. Jordan opted for a deep red double-breasted suit.
The evening revealed a range of fashion approaches, proving that the Critics’ Choice Awards are not just about acknowledging performances, but also about celebrating style. Below are the highlights of best-dressed celebrities of the night.

Kate Middleton Marks Easter With a Reworn Favorite
Kate Middleton returned for the annual Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on April 5, after being absent from the service in previous years due to health reasons. The Princess of Wales, her husband Prince William and their three children, joined the king and queen for the traditional celebration.
For the occasion, Kate wore a cream dress she had previously worn in 2022 for a royal engagement with Princess Anne. The Self-Portrait dress featured a blazer-cut bodice, defined by long sleeves, a belted waist and a midi skirt. Lace appliqués were designed across the top as well as side-flap pockets.

She continued the monochrome moment with a fascinator designed with floral motifs. Kate wore Bahrain pearl drop earrings crafted from rare pearls that had been gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by the Hakim of Bahrain during her 1947 wedding.

She completed the look with Ralph Lauren gold calfskin pumps, adding a warm contrast to the cream palette, and carried a small toffee-colored bag by London-based designer DeMellier. Walking alongside her daughter, Princess Charlotte who wore a chocolate brown coat layered over a blue dress, a quiet nod to her mother’s long-favored Easter color, even as Kate Middleton departed from her signature shades this year.

This year marks the sixth time she has attended Easter Sunday celebration in the Windsor, and most of the times, Kate has favored the shade of blue. During the family’s last appearance in 2023, she wore a royal blue Catherine Walker & Co. coat dress, with a matching hat and clutch. She was absent in 2024 and 2025 while undergoing cancer treatment.
