Despite chilly temperatures, Kristen Stewart is proving that the naked dress trend remains popular in 2026. The sheer trend which was one of 2025’s biggest fashion choices on red carpets continues into 2026 with fresh interpretations. Stewart was spotted in New York City on Monday, January 5 wearing a floor-length skirt, embracing the sheer trend despite the cold-weather. Just days earlier, Sabrina Carpenter also debuted her take on the naked dress, signaling that the style is making a return.

Stewart kept the top half of her outfit casual with a cropped white T‑shirt from Leset, a black bomber jacket lined in red for warmth and black sunglasses. For the bottom half, she went full glam wearing a see-through high-waisted skirt entirely covered with clear sequins, showing her black underwear that matched her bralette. She finished the look with black platform heels.

The actress was photographed on her way to Late Night With Seth Meyers. During the interview, she talked about directing her feature film debut, The Chronology of Water, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year, had a limited release in December, and is set for a wide release on January 9.
