After bringing drama to the MTV VMAs red carpet by taking a bite out of her lipstick, the singer took things a step further. For MAC’s Match Day event held at the Glendale Galleria store on September 27, the 29-year-old rapper took the brand’s “I Only Wear MAC” campaign to heart, arriving in a lipstick-inspired outfit that mimicked the product itself.

Doja wore a strapless chrome corset shaped like a lipstick tube, paired with a black leather pencil skirt. She added gloves, sheer pantyhose, and platform heels, all in the shade black. Her hair was styled into a red bob and pink cap, sculpted to look like a lipstick tip, thereby replicating MAC’s signature product.

The look was the result of a collaboration between Doja’s longtime stylist Brett Alan Nelson and MAC’s creative team, who worked with costume designers to turn the product into a wearable piece.

The Match Day event was held to help customers find their perfect lipstick match, and Doja’s transformation into a literal tube fits perfectly to the concept. Rather than just wearing a MAC shade, she decided to be the product itself, turning her entrance into part of the campaign.
