All the Celebrity Looks at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival is an annual international event held in Cannes, France, bringing together well-known figures, from filmmakers to directors and newcomers in the cinema world. This year marks the 79th edition, running from May 12 to May 23.

Each year, new films premiere at the festival, with their casts appearing on the red carpet ahead of screenings. These films go on to compete for the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top award, decided by a selected jury. With names like Demi Moore, Ruth Negga, and Chloé Zhao serving on the jury, and actors including Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett, and Julianne Moore expected to attend to promote their films. While the festival centres on production, celebrities also made a notable impact on the red carpet.

Demi Moore in Jacquemus

Demi Moore showed up in two looks during the event. For the jury photo call, she wore a sleeveless polka-dot dress from Jacquemus’ Fall 2026 collection. She later changed into a strapless silver sequin gown, featuring a corseted bodice, a peplum detail, and a mermaid-style skirt, also from Jacquemus. She completed the look with a stack of diamond necklaces from Chopard jewelry.

Jane Fonda in Gucci

Jane Fonda wore a black high-neck sequins gown from Gucci, paired with jewellery from Pomellato. Heidi Klum appeared in a nude gown by Elie Saab, designed with a cape detail attached at the waist. Alia Bhatt arrived in a peach-toned, sleeveless gown with a deep plunging neckline, paired with a matching necklace featuring peach-toned stones.

Ruth Negga in Dior

Ruth Negga chose a green Dior gown with thin straps. The design combined a silk base with a net overlay, with a fringe-like detailing attached to the front. While Caroline Daur wore a strapless black gown by Roksanda with a structured, voluminous skirt. It was defined by layered fabric detailing just below the waist, combining red, black, and white tones.
