Kim Kardashian, known for her signature long, jet-black hair, stepped out with a noticeably different look while leaving a dermatologist’s office in Beverly Hills on June 19.

She once again channeled Marilyn Monroe, opting for a platinum blonde bob that was presumed to be a wig. The cut fell below her jawline, styled in a soft side part with loose waves that gave the look a classic old Hollywood finish. She was styled by her longtime hairstylist, Iggy Rosales, who shared images of the look with the caption, “Platinum season.”

Kardashian paired the new hairstyle with a long trench coat worn as a dress, completing the look with bug-eye sunglasses, Gucci handbag and matching monogram Gucci heels. The overall ensemble was kept neutral, allowing the bold hair to be the centerpiece of the look.

This isn’t the first time Kardashian has been experimenting with shorter styles. Last summer, she stepped out in a wavy black bob during the Balenciaga Haute Couture fall/winter 2025/2026 show at Paris Fashion Week, where the look still echoed old Hollywood glamour. A few months later, she debuted a pixie cut at the Maison Margiela womenswear spring/summer 2026 show, which had a shorter length at the back and a longer cut at the front, giving the illusion of bangs.

The last time she was seen in a blonde hairstyle was back in 2022 Met Gala, where she styled her hair in an all black bun. More recently, Kardashian had been seen wearing her signature long black hair during public outings, including appearances where she stepped out in support of her partner Lewis Hamilton. She was also spotted alongside her sister in a series of coordinated looks.
