Cynthia Erivo Shows Two Winter Looks at the 2025 Macy’s Parade
The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place on Thursday, November 27, and Cynthia Erivo opened the show with a performance of “Feeling Good.” Not only did she sing, but she also showed off two winter-ready outfits.
Cynthia started the parade in a soft, grey-on-grey outfit that was a mix of different textures. She wore a black knit turtleneck as the base, tucked into light grey wide-leg trousers.

Over the outfit, she added two long layers, designed by Max Mara. The first was a padded housecoat, featuring leather sleeves and a V-neck, wrapped at the waist with a black leather strap. On top of that, she layered a beige teddy vest. She finished the look with beige suede platform boots, a silver butterfly necklace, and matching hoop earrings.

Her second outfit followed similar styling approach as the first and was still designed by Max Mara. She replaced her black turtleneck with a dark red, made from a wool blend and layered with a sleeveless alpaca coat in the same shade that featured long lapels and oversized pockets. Over that, she added a long coat with wide lapels and raglan sleeves. Erivo accessorized with a burgundy hat, a red leather belt, and platform boots, still keeping the silver butterfly necklace and hoop earrings from the first outfit.

A few weeks after appearing in her signature dark, Elphaba-inspired looks while promoting Wicked for Good, Cynthia Erivo took a different fashion choice at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Both of her layered, winter-ready outfits offered a season-appropriate direction and showed that even if her famous role as the Wicked Witch of the West has wrapped up, she can still give styling range fit for holiday dressing.
