Zendaya Opens The Odyssey Press Tour With Ancient Greece in Mind

Zendaya has been on a series of press tours, and each time she appears, her looks may not always fully mirror the theme, but there is usually a detail that ties back to the story, whether through her outfit, accessories, or overall styling.

Fresh off the press run for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Zendaya stepped out in London to begin promotions for Odyssey. For this appearance, she leaned into the spirit of Ancient Greece channeling Athena, whom she portrays in the film, the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare.

She wore a custom halter neckline gown from Jacquemus. The white design featured an open low-cut back and a high slit at the back of the skirt. A draped fabric extended from the back of the gown and was styled into a scarf, which was tied over her head, further enhancing the ethereal feel of the outfit.

Styled by Law Roach, the look was completed with gold earrings crafted from 1st-millennium BC ancient discs by Barron London. She also added a selection of rings, including her wedding band. And her Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps.

Zendaya was joined on the red carpet by Tom Holland, marking another public appearance for the couple as they continue to promote the movie. Also attending were director, Christopher Nolan, along with other cast members including Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Samantha Morton, Benny Safdie, and Robert Pattinson. They all appeared for the promotion of the movie.

The film, Odyssey is written and directed by Christopher Nolan. The story follows Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, as he tries to make his way home after the Trojan War, facing different mythological obstacles along the way.

Also in the movie are Anne Hathaway, who plays his wife Queen Penelope, and Tom Holland, who plays their son Telemachus. The movie is set to be released in theaters on July 17.
