Julianne Moore’s Daughter Towers Over Her in Rare Photo at Paris Fashion Week

Julianne Moore and her 24-year-old daughter, Liv Freundlich, stepped out together for a rare joint appearance during Messika’s photocall and cocktail party during Paris Fashion Week on October 1, marking their first public outing together since they were photographed walking through New York City in July 2023.

Moore wore a loose, floor-length butter-yellow gown for the occasion, paired with a Messika diamond-encrusted choker and chunky diamond earrings, finished with glowy makeup and her red hair styled in simple waves. Freundlich wore a fitted little black dress with long ties falling across the hips, paired with a delicate Messika necklace. With her own dark red hair styled in loose curls, the resemblance to her mother was also hard to miss.

Moore, who shares Liv and 28-year-old son Caleb with husband Bart Freundlich of 23 years, has largely kept her family life out of the spotlight. She previously spoke about balancing motherhood with her acting career in a December 2015 interview with Scary Mommy, saying her responsibility to her children “kind of overcomes everything,” and that being an actress gave her the emotional range and balance to show up for her family in different ways.

The appearance came amid a packed stretch of Paris Fashion Week, which brought a wide range of celebrities to the French capital, including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban at Chanel, Jennifer Lawrence at Dior, and Rihanna at the Matières Fécales show.
