Lopez arrived in a green, off-the-shoulder, floral dress by Harris Reed with a spider-like structure extending from her waist. Affleck appeared shortly after in a navy suit and white shirt, joining her for photos. They exchanged brief conversation and soft smiles, a moment that quickly became the evening’s highlight. According to People, the pair “appeared comfortable in each other’s company,” while Entertainment Weekly described their interaction as “calm and professional,” focused more on celebrating the project than their shared history.

Inside the screening, Affleck expressed admiration for Lopez’s performance, describing the film as “exquisite” and Lopez as “incredible.” He told People, “She worked enormously hard
You get to see all of her many gifts — she really does it all in this movie.” Lopez, in turn, credited Affleck and his production company for making the project possible. “This movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben, without Artists Equity,” she said, acknowledging his role with gratitude. Hello! noted that their mutual respect was evident throughout the night, even as the media spotlight lingered on their personal past.

In interviews ahead of the premiere, Lopez spoke about how the film’s storyline mirrored her own emotional journey. As reported by Hola!, she called Kiss of the Spider Woman “a story about escapism and how art saves us when life feels difficult.” The singer and actress admitted that filming coincided with a challenging period in her life, and that the creative process became both cathartic and healing. On The Today Show, she added, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made. And I will always give him that credit.”

While the reunion sparked speculation online, outlets like The Hollywood Reporter emphasized that the premiere reflected professionalism and mutual support rather than rekindled romance.
