Halle Berry Spends Time With Son Maceo Following Olivier Martinez’s Child Abuse Claim
Halle Berry spent time with her 12-year-old son, Maceo, over the weekend as she navigates an ongoing custody dispute with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.
Berry was seen with Maceo and her fiancé, Van Hunt, at a Sky Zone trampoline park in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 4. An eyewitness said Berry watched as Maceo played indoor soccer, with the actress and Hunt sitting nearby and occasionally talking and checking their phones.

The outing came days after Martinez was granted a temporary restraining order against Berry following allegations involving their son. The order issued on October 1 means Berry can only spend certain hours with Maceo until the October 16 court hearing. She is currently permitted to see him on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturdays and Sundays during the same hours.
According to court documents, Martinez alleged that Berry physically abused Maceo during a September 26 incident, claiming she jumped on him, put her hands around his neck and choked him. He has also requested sole custody of their son.
Berry has strongly denied the allegations through her attorney, Marina Beck, who described Martinez’s claims as “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading.” Her legal team has also accused Martinez of repeatedly violating court orders and interfering with Maceo’s therapeutic and educational needs.

The judge did not grant Martinez’s request to prevent Berry from having contact with Maceo altogether. The temporary order instead allows her to continue seeing her son under the revised visitation schedule while the court considers the custody dispute. A request for sobriety monitoring was also denied for now because the judge found there was not enough information to support it.
Berry and Martinez finalized their divorce in 2023 after separating in 2015. They previously shared custody of Maceo, but disagreements over their co-parenting arrangement have resulted in further legal disputes.

For now, the latest court order remains temporary, and the allegations against Berry have not been proven in court. The next hearing on October 16 is expected to address the restraining order and the continuing custody dispute.
