Drake could return to Coachella in 2027, more than a decade after his last headline performance at the California music festival. The rapper is reportedly being considered for a headlining slot, although no agreement has been officially announced.

The reported discussions come as Drake prepares for a return to touring next year. During a September interview, he teased plans to perform internationally in 2027, telling the interviewer that a tour was coming, along with “some big shows.” He did not mention Coachella specifically.

Drake has released three albums in 2026: Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti. He followed these projects with Habibti (FOMO), an expanded release featuring additional tracks connected to his short film FOMO. His planned touring activity would give him an opportunity to bring his recent material to live audiences alongside songs from his earlier catalogue.

The rapper last headlined Coachella in 2015, when he performed on the festival’s closing Sunday. His set included a surprise appearance by Madonna, who joined him onstage to perform “Human Nature.” The appearance generated considerable attention at the time, becoming one of the notable moments from that year’s festival.

Drake returned to Coachella in 2017 as a surprise guest during Future’s set, performing “Jumpman” and “Fake Love.” A potential headlining appearance in 2027 would mark his first time returning to the festival as a top-billed performer since 2015.

Other artists have also been linked to the 2027 lineup, but the full list of performers remains unannounced. Until organizers release the official lineup, Drake’s reported involvement should be treated as speculation rather than a confirmed booking.

Coachella 2027 is scheduled to take place over two weekends, April 9–11 and April 16–18, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The festival attracts audiences from across the United States and internationally, with its annual lineup spanning hip-hop, pop, electronic music, rock and other genres.

For now, Drake’s potential appearance remains unconfirmed. His comments about touring in 2027 have added context to the reports, but fans will have to wait for an official announcement to learn whether he will return to the Coachella stage.
