The Met Gala after-parties took place across New York as a continuation of the night’s “Fashion Is Art” brief, extending the event into after-hours settings where outfits were adjusted or changed.
Kendall Jenner appeared at the after-parties reworking her Met Gala look by removing outer layers to reveal the structured corset beneath, which carried through as the defining element of her after-party appearance. Hailey Bieber also appeared in a structured corset-led look that reflected the body-focused direction established earlier in the night.
Across the after-parties, styling shifted away from the Met steps into after-party settings. Outfits became simpler in construction, and styling focused on reworking existing looks rather than introducing new ones.
The after-parties did not stand apart from the Met Gala narrative, instead taking a more informal, social direction with a softened approach to the same aesthetic ideas.
