Meghan Markle has given a rare glimpse into life at home with Princess Lilibet, sharing a new video in which her five-year-old daughter can be heard speaking while helping her make jam.

The moment appears in a new Instagram video Meghan posted on Tuesday, October 6, ahead of the release of the first part of As Ever’s 2026 holiday collection. The video follows Meghan’s journey from her childhood interest in small businesses to the development of her lifestyle brand, combining old photographs with new footage from her work on As Ever.

In one of the new clips, Meghan is standing over a pot of berries on the stove while Lilibet works alongside her with a bowl and wooden spoon. The pair appear to be making one of As Ever’s fruit spreads.

“What do you think, Lili?” Meghan asks.

“I think it’s beautiful,” Lilibet replies.

The brief exchange provides a rare opportunity to hear Lilibet’s voice. Meghan and Prince Harry have generally kept their children’s lives private, making appearances by Lilibet in Meghan’s social media posts relatively limited.

The video is also a look at the work behind As Ever. Other footage shows the brand’s fruit spreads being packaged, Meghan spending time in a garden and making cookies. Prince Harry appears briefly as Meghan opens a box, while photographs of Meghan as a child are included throughout the video.

Meghan also uses the post to reflect on her early interest in business. She recalled that she began making handmade scrunchies when she was about eight years old, sewing them on her grandmother’s Singer sewing machine and selling them for $1 each.

She also remembered selling Girl Scout cookies, running lemonade stands and working at a frozen-yogurt shop, describing those experiences as part of the entrepreneurial spirit she carried into adulthood.

The childhood section of the video includes photographs from Meghan’s Girl Scout years, including images with her mother, Doria Ragland, who served as her troop leader. There is also an older clip of Meghan eating raspberries from her fingers.

Meghan connects those early experiences to the growth of As Ever, which launched in 2025. In the caption, she revisits a line she previously shared on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, about the role of women in their own success. She then acknowledges the importance of the people around her, including her family, support system and As Ever team.

“As I pinch myself looking at how this brand has grown, and as we introduce our holiday collection, I feel very proud, and grateful,” she wrote, before thanking her team for helping bring the brand’s latest chapter to life.

The new collection includes several holiday products. Among them is a limited-edition Advent calendar created with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés. Priced at $148, the calendar is designed around Meghan and Prince Harry’s Montecito home, showing the property decorated for the holidays with As Ever’s signature twin palm trees in the background.

Meghan has previously said the palm trees caught her and Harry’s attention when they first toured the property. The calendar contains 24 chocolates in flavours including strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade, alongside a chocolate featuring As Ever’s flower sprinkles. The numbers are hand-painted using edible gold luster in a style inspired by Meghan’s calligraphy.

The holiday collection also includes a playing-card set, three Compartés chocolate bars, a chocolate-covered fruit box and baskets containing assorted fruit spreads and other As Ever products.

While the wider video is centred on Meghan’s business journey and the launch of As Ever’s holiday collection, Lilibet’s brief appearance becomes its most personal moment. The five-year-old’s simple response to her mother’s question offers a rare glimpse of the youngest Sussex child taking part in one of Meghan’s projects at home.
