Megan Markle Returns to Acting after 7 Years
Meghan Markle is reportedly returning to Hollywood for the first time in seven years, after stepping away when got engaged to Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex is set to appear in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film “Close Personal Friends”, which is currently being filmed in Los Angeles.
On November 5, Meghan was spotted on the Pasadena, California, where she’ll appear as herself in the comedy. The film, directed by Jason Orley, follows partners who became friends to a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara. The pairs became close, and as their friendship grows, the boundaries between personal and private matters start to fade, leading to funny moments

The movie “Close Personal Friends” also starred other casts like Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Henry Golding, and Jack Quaid. The news was first reported by The Sun.
Her last time on screen was in the hit series “Suits”, where she portrayed Rachel Zane for seven seasons. Markle decided to leave the series in 2018 to focus on her royal duties ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry that same year. In an interview with BBC at that time, Meghan said she didn’t see it as giving anything up, only as a change.

Before Suits where she became more popular, Meghan held supporting roles on shows like Fringe and The League, as well as one of the suitcase models on Deal or No Deal.
Now that she has returned, the Duchess seemed relaxed and happy during filming, according to People. A source close to the project described it as “a massive moment” for her.
