Years after Lily Collins had her engagement ring stolen while visiting a spa, the piece of jewelry has been recovered with the help of a Chicago jeweler Joe the Jeweler. On March 6, the actress revealed on her Instagram story that the ring had been found and returned.

“So grateful to @joethejewelerchicago for helping recover my original engagement ring after it was stolen almost three years ago,”
I’m still speechless it’s back on my finger.”

The ring was originally stolen in May 2023 from a locker where the actress had stored her belongings while visiting a spa at The West Hollywood EDITION hotel. At that time, The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department started an investigation, though officials said there were no signs of forced entry. The ring was not located until recently. While Collins did not share further details about how it was recovered, she credited Chicago jeweler Joe for helping return it.

Lily previously shared that the ring is a rose-cut diamond, designed by her husband Charlie McDowell, along with jeweler Irene Neuwrith. The actress stated then that she was surprised by the design but said it was exactly what she would have wanted, and her husband knew her so well. According to Brett Afshar, the ring is valued at around $80,000 and features a 2- to 3-carat rose-cut diamond.

Collins and Charlie McDowell got engaged in September 2020, sharing the news on Instagram with photos of the proposal, including a close-up of the engagement ring. The couple tied the knot on September 4, 2021, in Dunton, Colorado. In January 2025, they welcomed their first child via surrogate, a daughter Tove Jane McDowell.
