Kylie Jenner’s Meta Smart Glasses Feature Her Viral ‘Rise and Shine’ Greeting
Kylie Jenner has stepped into the world of tech by teaming up with Meta for her latest creative collaboration. The project includes the design of three new styles of Meta smart glasses, which launched on the 23rd. She co-designed the glasses with a slim oval frame, and they come in three color options: classic black with black lenses, dark tortoise with chocolate lenses, and classic black with clear-to-gray transition lenses.
What makes the collaboration more interesting is the addition of Kylie’s own voice. The glasses include a built-in response feature that uses her voice, “Pop your glasses on first thing in the morning to start your day with Kylie’s ‘Rise and Shine.’”

This isn’t Meta’s first smart-glasses launch. Previous collections included collaborations with Ray-Ban and Oakley. first launch of smart glasses from Meta CEO. During the recent launch, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a video that this is the first line of glasses designed from the ground up, adding that Kylie brought her own creative touch to the project and describing her as a “fashion icon.” He also noted that it was exciting to work with her on the design.
According to the brand’s press release, the glasses feature open-ear audio, hands-free calling and messaging, and visual and photo recording, making them both functional and stylish. Zuckerberg added that the idea was to make something that feels like “fashion first, and technology second.”
Kylie Jenner also shared in an interview with Elle that glasses have always been her thing. She explained that what attracted her to the project was not only appearing in the campaign, but also being involved in the design process, including the shape, colors, packaging, and even the small chime sound the glasses make when they are put on.

The aim was to create something slim and oval that feels like a fashion piece, rather than what looks like a gadget. She revealed details like a custom gem on the left lens, and a charging case with a mirror inside. For her, small details like that matter a lot.
Kylie explained she always starts with something she would actually wear. The difference here, is that this time there is real technology inside. The beauty mogul mentioned how she learned how the camera sits and how the speakers work, and then making all of it disappear so they just feel like regular glasses.

Jenner added that her approach to the design was influenced by beauty, where the details matter, from texture to finish to packaging. That same idea was incorporated into the glasses. The focus was also on comfort, with a lightweight feel that avoids anything heavy or clunky. For her, if a product does not create a feeling the moment it is picked up, it is not worth doing. It has to spark something instantly, and that was part of goal behind the design.
