Dua Lipa Pairs Her Love of Books With Great Style
Dua Lipa has been spending time in London, along with her husband, actor Callum Turner, who is reportedly among the finalists screen-testing for the next James Bond film. While the actor has been linked to the legendary role, Lipa has been busy with her own interests: books. The singer, who founded the Service95 Book Club, took her love of reading to the stage over the weekend as she hosted conversations at London’s Literature Festival.
On Saturday, October 24, Lipa joined acclaimed novelist Zadie Smith at the Royal Festival Hall to discuss Smith’s debut novel, White Teeth, including its portrayal of London and what it meant to publish such a celebrated book at the age of 24. Later that day, Lipa sat down with Sudanese-Canadian poet and musician Mustafa to discuss his 2025 poetry collection, Nour, and the poems and writers that have influenced them.

For her conversation with Smith, Lipa wore a red two-piece look from Chanel’s Fall 2026 collection. The outfit consisted of a long-sleeved top and a matching midi skirt, both with fur trim. She paired the look with black leather knee-high boots from Le Silla, featuring lace-up detailing and a 12-centimetre stiletto heel. The boots gave the red outfit a different feel from the matching set originally worn on the runway.

For her second conversation with Mustafa, Lipa changed into a look from Prada’s Fall 2026 collection. She wore a black nylon tank top and matching pencil skirt, with her bright pink bra straps visible beneath the top. She also wore sheer stockings embroidered with floral details near the ankles and white satin pumps with feather trim and lace-up detailing.

Ahead of the festival, Lipa spoke about what reading means to her, saying, “Reading has anchored me through every chapter of my life, from being the new kid at school in a new country to finding quiet refuge on tour.”
The London Literature Festival runs at the Southbank Centre through November 1, with poetry readings and author conversations. On Sunday, October 25, Lipa joined musician and writer Patti Smith for a conversation about Smith’s memoir, Bread of Angels.
