The 83rd Venice Film Festival opened on September 2 with a red carpet spanning classic black tie, sculptural gowns, sharp tailoring and statement eveningwear. Giorgio Armani featured prominently throughout the opening ceremony, with Jonathan Bailey, Nina Dobrev, Zazie Beetz, J Balvin.

Kendall Jenner, for example, arrived in a breezy white ensemble paired with The Row ballet flats and a Chanel weekender, while Maggie Gyllenhaal began her festival wardrobe in tailored separates before changing for the evening ceremony.
