Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to leave federal prison earlier than previously expected, with his projected release date moving forward by more than three weeks following another adjustment to his prison records.

According to TMZ, which reported the development on November 2, 2026, the Federal Bureau of Prisons now lists February 6, 2028, as the music mogul’s expected release date, replacing his previous projection of March 2, 2028. The adjustment brings his anticipated release forward by 24 days.

Combs’ release date has changed several times since he began serving his 50-month sentence. Previous projections included January 21, 2028, before a subsequent adjustment pushed the date back to March 2.

The latest development follows his recent transfer from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. His time at Fort Dix attracted considerable attention after reports emerged about alleged disciplinary violations and the conditions of his incarceration.

While at the New Jersey facility, Combs reportedly faced disciplinary action following allegations involving prohibited devices and other prison rule violations. Reports about his living arrangements also raised questions about whether he had received preferential treatment from fellow inmates, including assistance with meals, cleaning and laundry.

The reports brought renewed scrutiny to his time behind bars. His representative, however, disputed aspects of the coverage and maintained that Combs was serving his sentence within the prison’s rules.

His latest release date adjustment comes less than a month after his projected departure was pushed back to March 2, 2028. The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly explained the reason for the new February projection.

Combs is serving his sentence after a jury found him guilty in July 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking following his federal trial in New York.

In October 2025, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison, alongside a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.
The conviction marked a significant development in the legal proceedings against the Bad Boy Records founder, who has also faced multiple civil lawsuits involving allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse. He has denied wrongdoing in connection with the allegations.

For now, February 6, 2028, remains his projected release date, although further adjustments are possible before he completes his sentence.
