Kim Kardashian and Ludovic de Saint Sernin Are Releasing a Skims Collaboration

Kim Kardashian and French designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin are bringing their longstanding fashion connection to SKIMS with a new limited-edition collaboration.

Set to launch on October 1, Skims x Ludovic de Saint Sernin combines the shapewear brand’s fitted silhouettes with the designer’s use of sheer fabrics, lace and body-conscious designs.

The collaboration has been several years in the making. Kardashian and de Saint Sernin first met while he was an intern at Balmain. Their relationship later extended into fashion, with Kardashian wearing several of his designs, including crochet pieces and his distinctive denim creations.

For the new collection, de Saint Sernin looked to Kardashian’s fashion archive for references, drawing from different periods of her style. The resulting pieces include body-hugging dresses, mini and long dresses, pants and pencil skirts.

The designs also feature lace-up details and sheer elements, alongside the tonal colour palette associated with SKIMS. The collection takes inspiration from 1990s supermodel style, reflecting de Saint Sernin’s approach to fitted and revealing silhouettes.

Kardashian described the collaboration as a combination of the simplicity associated with SKIMS and de Saint Sernin’s more sensual design approach. De Saint Sernin, meanwhile, said the pieces were designed to enhance the body and make the wearer feel confident.

The collection will be accompanied by a campaign photographed by Steven Klein and featuring Kardashian and de Saint Sernin.

Skims x Ludovic de Saint Sernin will be available from October 1 through SKIMS’ website and at the brand’s flagship stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Dubai.
