All the Moments You Must Have Missed From Oscars 2026

The 2026 Oscars, the most anticipated event in film, gathered top talent from the industry to celebrate the achievements of 2025. The 98th Academy Awards honor artistic accomplishments across filmmaking, from acting and directing to production and screenwriting. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the night was filled with unexpected turns and historical moments.

Among the highlights, Paul Thomas Anderson earned his first Academy Awards for their work on “One Battle After Another.” The ceremony also included performances of the Best Original Song nominees “I Lied to You” from Sinners and “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters.

Buckley also became the first Irish actress to win the category at the Academy Awards.

K-Pop Animation Scores Major Wins

The animated musical KPop Demon Hunters also won multiple awards at the ceremony. The Netflix hit won both Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Golden,” marking a notable moment for Korean representation in Hollywood. During the acceptance speech, director Maggie Kang dedicated the win to “Korea and Koreans everywhere.”

Barbra Streisand Honors Robert Redford

Hollywood legend Barbra Streisand made a surprise appearance during the In Memoriam segment of the event. She paid tribute to her friend and former co-star Robert Redford, who passed away in 2025, before performing “The Way We Were” in his honor.

“One Battle After Another” Dominates the Night

Alongside Paul Thomas Anderson’s first Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Director, the film also secured awards for Best Casting and Best Editing.
